"How could it of broken already? We just got it yesterday!" Mitch says with a tint of red on his face as he grabs the bow from Mackenzie's hand looking at the flaking metal handle that has a crack in it.
"I don't know, I was drawing the string back and I heard a loud crack and next thing I know the grip is broken." Mackenzie says quietly, worried about getting in trouble.
"Piece of junk.." Mitch mutters under his breath as he tosses the bow off to the side and walks over to the phone laying on his desk, typing in a number with quick rigid motions.
"Hello? Yeah can I speak to SpyWorld's weapons refinery?" Mitch half-shouts into the phone. At the same time Zoey opens the door half way, holding her sword that now curves into a "c" shape. Mackenzie mouthes "not now" and gestures to Mitch who paces the floor while on hold. Zoey widens her eyes and quickly closes the door, heading back to Ella and Jace, both holding damaged weapons of their own.
"Yes, hello. This is Mitch again we had an order for a new bow, yesterday actually, and it already broke. Can you please explain this? That thing cost good money." Mackenzie looked from the bow that was laying at her feet, to Mitch's angry face as he held the phone to his ear. She shifted her weight into her left foot, feeling uncomfortable. "What do you mean Mitch who? Mitch Winchester, staff from Camp at area 0111!" Mackenzie takes a step backwards from her spot and carefully leaves the room, not wanting to get caught in Mitch's arguments.
"Did he say anything?" Ella asks as she attempts to attach the head of her axe back onto the handle.
"No he's calling the place who shipped it to us right now." Mackenzie says as she joins them in waiting.
"Hey, at least we now have an excuse not to train." Jace says smiling as he gets up and walks towards the cafe, the rest follow.
Jace pushes open the cafe doors and sees Lucie behind the counter, and Jordan trying to get Joey to order something.
"C'mon Joey, you must be hungry, besides Elliot and Lucie are great cooks!" Jordan begs, trying to get is little brother to eat something.
"Elliot? A great cook? Ha, Jordan I never knew you had a sense of humor." Joey says unenthusiastically as he crosses his arms and looks at the menu.
"Lucie also helps make the meals so if you don't enjoy Elliot's cooking you can enjoy Lucie's." Jordan smiles at Lucie and she smiles back bashfully.
"Fine.. I'll just have a few cupcakes." Joey says giving in. He's been looking forward to some good cupcakes, he hasn't had that many since he's left the other side.
"Cupcakes? For lunch? I don't think so. You can have that as a snack after you eat a real lunch." Jordan pats Joey's head like a little kid.
"Do I look like I'm five?" Joey says with a twinge of annoyance in his voice.
"Yes, to me you do." Jordan hugs his brother tightly and gives him a kiss on the head.
"Now how about this wittle baby has some yummy wummy pizza for lunch, then he can be a big boy and eat all of it! After the wittle baby boy can have his cupcakes." Jordan says in a baby voice as he pokes Joey's nose and pinches his cheeks. Joey glares at Jordan then smiles a little. Lucie giggles at the two brothers and then leaves to go make the pizza.
"What did I just walk into" Jace says as he stands with Mackenzie and Zoey who all watched the whole thing.
"Don't ask." Joey says as he sits down at a table waiting for his food.
"I'm going to go check on Mitch, I heard the weapons are breaking. It's pretty odd, we just got them delivered."
Jordan walks out of the cafeteria and heads over to the teacher's cabin. Felix was waiting by the door with a laptop, bits of smoke coming out of the grate at the bottom. "The computers too?" Jordan asks as he walks up to him, glancing at the black screen of the expensive computer.
"What do you mean? If you're going to blame me for it, let me stop you right there, this thing self destructed when it wasn't even turned on." Felix explains while handing the computer over to Jordan.
"It's been happening to everyone. You haven't happened to see Luke or Melody have you? I wonder if anything happened to their training equipment." Jordan asked.
"Nope haven't seen them. So you're not going to have time pay for this?" Felix gestured to the laptop that Jordan is now trying to turn on.
"No there's something wrong with the whole shipment of equipment.. is Mitch in there?" Jordan places a hand on the doorknob while balancing the computer in his other.
"You mean Mitch Winchester?"
"I'll take that as a yes."
Felix heads to the cafeteria as Jordan went into the cabin seeing Mitch yelling into his phone still.
