Madison POV

"Mateo, I want a dog." I crossed my arm's, looking out of the window at the light brown Pomeranian walking across the street with it's owner. "We're still going to the mall right?"

Mateo sighed and nodded. "Whatever."

I smiled cheerily. "Okay. And by the way can you buy me something?"

He shook his head. "You're good."

I pouted. "Why?"

"I already bought you a three hundred dollar pair of heals yesterday."

"That's yesterday." I said.

"And this is today." He said. The light turned green and he began to drive. "Today I'm not buying you nothing."

"What about a dog?"

"You know how much dogs cost?" He glimpsed at me.

"I just want a small teacup Yorkie." I whined.

"That's even more expensive." He said.

"How would you know?" I looked at him.

"Because I bought one before." He mumbled. "You're irking my nerves Maddie."

I rolled my eyes, and crossed my arm's.

"You need too stop yo' attitude forreal. It's ain't cute."

The car ride was silent, until we arrived at the mall. He parked and I looked over at him, saddened. "I'm sorry."

He clenched his jaw, and looked out of the window.

"I said sorry." I leaned over, and gently turned his face towards me. His phone began to ring before I could speak. He pulled his face away from my hand, and looked at the ID.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Who's," I paused, trying to pronounce the callers name. "Evie?"

He declined the call quickly, and pt his phone in his pocket. "My friend."

I nodded, looking at him weirdly. "Uhm, okay. But I'll see you later, I love you."

"Same."

I left the car, and walked into the mall.

I twisted my face. He's being a bitch..

Mateo POV

"She was in the car." I sighed.

"Oh, sorry babe." She said through the phone. "Are you busy?"

I leaned my head on my arm, putting my arm on the arm rest. "No, not until tonight because we still have to go out and look for so broke in the trap house, and went into my dads old house."

It's like I could feel her smile, which made me do the same. "Can you come over?" She asked.

"Why?"

"Nigga don't be slick." She laughed. "You know why."

"Alright," I smirked. "I can't stay for hours though."

"What time would you leave?"

"Probably seven or eight."

"Do you have to go?" She pouted.

I nodded, as I put on my shoes. "I'm sorry."

"When could you come again? Maybe we could just chill." Evie asked.

"Maybe later tonight or tomorrow." I said.

"Be safe." She stopped me. I nodded, and walked out of her room. I left her apartment and got into my car, and Madison called me a couple hours ago.
