I strummed my guitar slowly, trying to think of some solutions. Anything.
Anything to get Jesse back to me. I looked up when the doorbell rang. Reuben barked and cowered under the bed. I slid off my bed and poked my head out into the corridor.
"Dad?" I called and he called me. "Petra!" I quickly went down, pulling my shirt down self-consciously and saw. A girl. She looked like Jesse.
Green eyes. Dark hair. She smiled and I saw Jesse in her face. She did look like Jesse, which made me miss him more. "Hey, Petra, right?" she asked and shrugged calmly.
"Uh... who are you?" I asked and felt Ivor coming up behind me.
"I'm Jesse. Jesse Katherine Collins. Pleased to meet you."
