September 2017
Scooting out of the bed, I tried not to wake Christian. I had to get ready to meet with clients to close on a property.
Taking a quick shower, I stepped and started getting ready for the day. Sleeking my hair into a low bun, I used my edge brush to make my edges perfect. Just as I put the small brush down, and went for the sink, I could see Christian in the corner of my eye.
"Good Morning sleepy head." I greeted him as he snaked his arms around my waist.
"Good Morning." He responded between the kisses he placed on my neck.
"Don't do too much. I already gotta cover up what you did last night." I told him while I blended my concealer.
"You right, but you shouldn't been testing me and I wouldn't have." He shrugged. "You coming to my game tonight?" He let go and walked to the shower.
"I mean my brother does play for the same time." I said sarcastically. "But yes, I'll be there. My last showing is at one, so I'll have enough time to change and make it there." I let him know.
Finishing the light make up I planned, I was ready to go to work. Christian was walking out of the bathroom as I slipped on shoe.
"Alright, I'll see you after the game." I told him.
"Mhm. I love you." He gave me a kiss.
"I love you too. Don't leave my house unlocked." I pulled away and headed out to the garage.
Hurrying to get in my car, I let the garage open and I pulled up. Letting the radio play in the background, I thought about Christian and I's relationship. It wasn't the ideal one, but I was happy. We'd actually met in college, he was a senior and I was a junior. The relationship was friendly, but we lost contact when I decided to take the remainder of my classes online and pursue a career in real estate. That next year he was getting drafted to the league. He just so happened to be joining the same team my brother, the infamous Odell Beckham Jr, was playing for. We didn't recognize one another at first, but one night my brother said he had a friend that was looking for a house and Christian and I reconnected.
From there the relationship grew into more than just friends. He was engaged and I tried my best to stay away, but one night he told me how he felt and I could't tell him I didn't feel the same way. Knowing he was in a relationship and my brother's rule that dating his teammates was a huge no, we snuck around at first. I tried dating other people, but I'd always end up back with Christian. We both knew it was wrong, but something about just felt right. The relationship grew, and everything followed. The sleepovers, the sex, the 'I Love You's", everything. We talked about ending it but we could never go through with it.
