It had been two days and after speaking with the doctor about the next steps, everyone was feeling better about the situation. Odell had a few visitors aside from the ones who were already here.
Walking into the room my parent's heads turned in my direction before they went back to the conversations they were having. Sitting the food on the the tray in front of Odell, I made my way to the open seat and opened the top on the cup of ice I had. Watching O dig into the food, I ate my ice before pulling my phone out to respond to the few emails I had. The house I'd did the paperwork on was officially owned by the couple I showed it too and I'd got them to sell me the penthouse they'd been living in.
Once I was done doing the little work I could, I finished my cup of ice before tossing it. Seeing Odell was done with his food I tossed it too. Washing my hands, I plopped back down in the seat.
"Ken what's going on with you and that boy you were talking to?" My dad asked.
"I broke up with him. I just wasn't feeling it." I shrugged.
Hearing Odell scoff, I looked at him quickly before turning my attention back to my dad.
"Well that's that I guess." He shrugged.
"Wasn't he with you at the game yesterday. I thought I say y'all that roomshade." My mom added.
"I broke up with him yesterday." I shrugged.
Hearing O scoff again, I turned in his direction to address him.
"You got something in ya throat? Cause I can bat you in it." I rolled my eyes.
Waving me off, he picked his phone up and started doing whatever.
"Kennedy Aleese you don't start with ya brother he just had surgery. Ion wanna hear none of that arguing shit. You about to have look after him." My dad pointed my finger at me.
"I ain't doing nothing to him daddy. Ion know what's going on with him. He need to pull his head out his ass and realize who been here for him this entire time." I stood up and left the room.
Running into the nurse when I did, she had the discharge papers in her hand. Asking her to go over the instructions with me in the hall, she did and gave me a copy. Since he was about to be discharged, I went ahead to the car and pulled around to the pick up area. It was about twenty minutes later when he was being wheeled out with my parents behind him. Opening the doors on of the Tesla, I sat there while the nurse helped him in the car and my parents got in the backseat. Letting Dave East play lowly I drove to the pharmacy to get his medicine and then home.
Once we were home, my dad and I helped O in while my mom got the bags out. Helping him to the couch, we sat him down. Going to the kitchen I grabbed a bottle of water and the pills and went to give it to him.
"I meal prepped so you can eat that tonight. The pt should be here on Thursday. Use the Alexa when you feel like getting in the bed." I said before walking away.
