Chapter#55 - That WOW moment

I walked into the Great Hall it was lateish, dinner hadn't been served just yet, I quickly sat down next to Lana. 

"hey" I said 

She didn't say anything, she just looked down at her hands and sniffed

"Lana" I said putting my hand on her shoulder. 

"don't you'll just make things worst" she said looking up at me, her eyes where red with tears, her face was all wet with tears. 

"come on why don't I take you back to the common room?" I said standing up 

"no, I will show them I am not a coward!" she hissed at me. I rolled my eyes and sat back down as the food appeared on the table.  I pushed my hair back and put some food on my plate. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder I turn but no one was there I turn back to my food, and then noticed Mary was sitting next to me. 

"really?" I asked 

Mary smirked and put some red jelly on her plate. I just shook my head, at her and the jelly I hated jelly it was funny looking, and it felt like rubbler in my mouth.  I looked down at my plate which had a meat pie on it, I smiled and put some sauce on it and started to eat it,  Mary and I talked as if nothing had happened this afternoon, as if we were an old married couple.  Soon I was finished my pie, I looked to my left to talk to Lana but she was gone, I sighed, I was being a bad sister well half sister. I turned back to Mary

"I should go find Lana" I said 

"why?" she asked

"she's my sister" I said standing up 

"half" Mary said 

"yeah but she's the only thing I've got to family" I said 

"you don't have to be looking after her all the time Dany" she said 

"who else is going to...she is the only one that understands me...and being you know different" I said 

"and your saying that I'm not going through the same thing to understand" she snapped at me

"well...yea" I said 

"yea...I know nothing, I'm just stupid enough to even like you Dany...so I guess it's best for me to stay out of your life" Mary said getting up. 

"Mary" I said grabbing her arm "please" I could feel the tears in my eyes. 

"Look your actually showing emotion..." Mary said 

"is that such a bad thing?" I asked 

"no, you should do it more" she said a smile coming over her face. 

"come here" I said bring her in and hugging her tight, that wasn't really what I wanted to do though. 

Mary broke the hug, she half smiled 

"I'm sorry" I said 

"what for?" Mary asked 

"I think you know....it's just for everything" I said 

Mary just shook her head and laughed but tears came to her eyes, I quickly put my thumb to her face and wiped the tear away. 

"don't cry" I said 

"don't make me fall anymore in love withyou" she said, 

At this moment my heart was doing backflips inside my chest, then a smile came over my face 

"okay...but I can't promise anything" I said 

Mary shook her head, 

"come on we better head back before it gets too late" she said taking my hand, my fingers were intertwised with her and somehow it felt right, we walked slowly the hallways, nobody else was really around they had all gone to sleep or were about too. 

There was no silence between me and Mary, we had something to talk about, but our convertion kept on going back to this one thing, and it was the full moon outside, but it was no normal full moon, it was red. 

"I wonder why it's like that?" Mary asked looking at me

"what your asking me, I don't know" I said 

"I thought you were Voldemort's daughter, the most powerful witch of our times, the girl that has read all the books in the world" she said 

"well I may be those other two things but I have not read all the books in the world" I said

"ah so there is one more thing I know about you" Mary said with that beautiful smile of hers. It made my heart rate go up.  Then I realized that I was staring at her. 

"why are you looking at me like that?" she asked 

"Because your perfect" I blurted out 

Mary smiled and blushed she looked at her feet, but I lifted her head back up. 

"how come you didn't tell about this over the summer?" Mary asked 

"because I didn't know how to...I got stuck....I'm sorry it took me so long to catch up" I said suddenly I found myself looking at my shoes, but then I felt Mary's warm fingers lifting my chin up, and her lips found mine, and right then and there was my wow moment with Mary Moon, the best girl that has ever happened to me, and without her I don't know where I would be...
