Spending Time With You

By the time the sun had risen Valt was already on his way to Shu's apartment.

Normally the Valtryek blader would've slept in on a Saturday morning, but seeing as he had been invited to his best friend's home - he got up early. It wasn't every day he was invited over.

I wonder what we're going to do today?! Knowing Shu it'll probably be something really cool. Maybe we'll eat some delicious snacks that he made! I can taste them now~ Valt thought as he walked past an ice cream parlor.

A jumble of thoughts continued to pile into the bluenette's mind until he finally reached his destination.

He almost couldn't believe how he was finally back at his best friends apartment! Of course he wasn't inside just yet - more like standing outside the door with his hand raised and ready to ring the doorbell.

Before he could press the button he stopped himself. There was something holding him back, something telling him that a change was going to happen if he went inside.

Shaking the feeling off, Valt pressed on the doorbell and waited.

It only took a few seconds to get a "coming" as a reply from the other side of the door, followed by shuffling noises.

When the door opened the smell of eggs and pancakes washed over the bluenette. The fragrance was wonderful and nearly put Valt into a trance until Shu snapped him back into reality.

"You're here early." Shu started, glancing at a clock near by. "Would you like some breakfast?"

Valt beamed at the offer. His body moving straight into the apartment and towards the kitchen table before he give a proper thank you to his friend.

"What's on the menu this morning?" Valt asked, already knowing his answer from the smell of earlier.

"Just something small and simple; eggs and pancakes." Shu answered, closing the apartment door and returning to his kitchen.

"I had a feeling you might show up here early so I made enough breakfast for the two of us."

"Thank you! It's great that you know me so well, if you didn't then you might've made extra breakfast for too many, am I right!"

A plate stacked with pancakes and eggs on the side was placed in front of the bluenette within several minutes.

The food looked almost too good to eat! The pancakes were thick and fluffy while the eggs were more thinned out and a perfect yellow color.

"Wow! This looks so good! Thanks for the meal!"

Valt began to devour his food, just as Shu sat down opposite to him, only slowing down when his mouth was stuffed.

Scarlet orbs watched the Valtryek blader eat in a soft way.

Watching Valt was almost mesmerising. The way he smiled between eat bite sent little sparks of warmth through the Spryzen blader.

It made him happy to know his best friend liked his cooking.

Throughout the meal Shu continued to watch Valt eat, and occasionally ate himself when he remembered his own food.

There were several times when the bluenette would look up, as if he was going to say something, but each time he would avert his gaze, blush, and stare down at his food.

At one point Shu chuckled when the bluenette accidentally tossed some egg over his shoulder instead of into his mouth.

Of course Valt got pretty embarrassed and went to pick up the tossed food - apologizing repeatedly. Shu himself just smiled and kept saying everything was okay.
