The waitress returned to the table with their lattes. "Thank you," Tyler smiled at her, turning back to Ashley. " You are such a perv." He chuckled as her eyes followed the curvy waitress.
"Shut up." Ashley rolled her eyes, playfully. "You were saying?"
"Oh," Tyler remembered. "I got a notification last night. Me and this guy matched on Tinder. I thought I'd give the app a try." He avoided eye contact. Instead, he focused on the golden lights that outlined the walls of their favorite Cafe.
"Oh?" she sipped her latte. "Please. Do tell."She arched an eyebrow.
"I don't know..." He fidgeted with his nails. "His name is Josh. He likes music." He explained, "And he's cute." He mumbled.
"Aww. Set something up! I think you two should meet."
Tyler's widened. "Really? Unbelievable. I'm too awkward." He held up his hands.
"Then why did you sign up on Tinder? You'd have to meet your matches at some point." Tyler sat there quietly, thinking about Josh. "If you need advice or anything, just call me. And always remember to be yourself." Ashley stood up and grabbed her things. "Gotta go. Bye."
"Bye," Tyler said, turning to watch her exit. He saw her signal to a girl standing across the parking lot waiting for her. "I knew it." He mumbled to himself. She had left in a suspicious manner and in such a rush. He figured because she was seeing someone.
Losing focus on the women, he watched a small man in a fedora ride a children's scooter in the middle of the street. There was a slightly taller man with blonde hair chasing him, trying to catch his breath.
The chime of the cafe door echoed in the building. Tyler looked up shook. The man who entered was his Tinder match. Josh Dun.
