Moving In

I sighed as I looked up at the building in front of me. It was my day off and today I was officially moving in with Hunter. The building I was supposed to be living in was more modest than what I thought an executive would have. I knew I shouldn't judge it based on the outside, the interior could be completely different. With my black suitcase next to me I slowly made my way up to his apartment.

I took a deep breath as I rang the doorbell. No answer. He did know I was coming at one, he can't still be asleep. I press the doorbell a couple more times, still getting no signs of movement from inside. Just as I was about to press it for the sixth time when suddenly

"It'll break if you keep pressing it." I turned to face Hunter looking like he just arrived home with a motorcycle helmet under his arm.

"Sorry." I mutter as Hunter walked straight past me into his apartment.

"Come in." Dragging my suitcase behind me I quietly follow him inside.

"Set your things over there, you can make yourself comfortable." Hunter instructs as he walks over to his coffee maker. Surprisingly the inside of the apartment was just as modest as the building. It contained a double bed, a kitchen, living space and what stood out the most, a three monitor computer system, there was an obvious colour scheme of black and white. It was pretty spacious for a studio apartment but still less than what I expected an executive to have.

"You look like you want to say something." Hunter observes, as he watches me as he makes his drink.

"Your apartment isn't like what I thought an executive would have."

"You're straightforward." I blushed, looking down.

"Is it more simplistic than what you thought?"

"Yeah, I just thought it would be more extravagant, sorry." I apologise as I study his face for a sign of what he was thinking.

"You don't need to apologise, being straightforward isn't a bad thing. I have all the necessities I need here, I don't see why I need to decorate the space with clutter and junk. Feel free to use any of the stuff in the apartment." I continue to stand and look around my home for the next few months.

"Well, don't just stand there, take a seat." Hunter gestures to the black sofa.

"Oh, okay." Once I nervously lower myself onto the sofa Hunter calm sits next to me. The space between us can't be more than one foot apart. I don't know where to look. While I'm fretting about how close he's sitting to me, Hunter calmly takes a sip of his coffee before speaking,

"You've done nothing but sigh for the last few minutes." He observed. I had tried to be subtle about it but it seems like he noticed.

"Is something wrong?"

"I mean a lot of things are wrong with this situation." I speak as I look once more around the studio apartment.

"Okay go through them from importance."

"Where do I change?"

"Bathroom, bedroom. Anywhere." Anywhere, I would not be comfortable with that. How is he so calm?

"Okay, where do I sleep."

"The bed." I rose an eyebrow as I looked over at the bed, it was big enough for just me, but both of us, we'd be pushed together.

"Relax, I'm sleeping on the sofa." Seeing my expression he tilts his head.

"What? Would your rather sleep on the sofa?"

"No, i'm fine with either." I answer honestly.

"Then you wouldn't care if we slept in the same bed." He smirks, knowing my answer
