The bus screeched to a halt. The grumpy female bus driver pushed the lever that caused the doors to open with a deafening screech. The students and the two principals filed out of the bus.
Gloriosa Daisy and Timber Spruce was standing not too far away, smiling welcomingly.
Once everybody was out, Principal Celestia called for the students to gather around.
"Gather round', kids!" The woman called.
She waited as the somewhat tired yet excited teens gathered round in a semicircle, their full attention on her. Gloriosa cleared her throat.
"Welcome back to Camp Everfree. My brother and I are so happy you wanted to join us for another week. It means a lot that you came back."
Gloriosa's cheery smile faltered.
"Considering what happened last time you all were here. That wasn't exactly planned, which I still feel awful about."
Her smile brightened once again.
"But I'm choosing to learn from my mistakes and to not dwell on the past. I'm moving on and I hope that you all can, too."
"Wow." Sunset said, her voice quiet. "She's really taking it well. Better than I did. I felt guilty for months after the fall formal."
"And I did too after the Friendship games." Twilight added.
"Now." Gloriosa said. "Who's ready for the best week at camp ever. I promise it'll be better than last time."
