Romantically Hopeless

Chpt. 1 ~ Divide & Conquer

Amber's P.O.V ~ 

"Amber, come get your breakfast.." My Mom said.

Only as I jolted up out of my sweet, sweet slumber. To notice that on the first day I am already going to be late. 

  I sling my warm covers off of me to be greeted by a cold breeze that makes me shiver. I have no time to be miserable and complain, I have to get ready and get out the door, my best friends will be here any minute. 

  I throw on my outfit I thankfully left out the night before. Sling my hair up into a high ponytail. Do all of the hygiene necessities, I am not trying to smell like stinky Steven. 

I mentally shiver. Ew. 

 My mom calls out to me again.. "COME ON, AMBER!" 

I check my alarm clock again. 8:05. Shit.

*HONK* 

I race down the stairs grab my tennis shoes and the breakfast bar my mom is holding in her hand at the door. I swing open the door and give my mom a quick peck on the cheek bidding her goodbye. I shut the door behind me as I see my friends with a smart ass grin on their faces. 

I hate that smirk. 

I open the car door throw all my stuff in and slammed the door behind me.

"What?" I breathe out, slightly winded. 

"Bitch, you are a mess." They giggle in unison 

My best friends. Adaline Simpson and Luna Jenkins. Two amazing girls, I am so blessed to have in my life. They keep me from falling on my feet, keep me sane, and help keep my head attached to my body otherwise I would be lost without them and my head. 

Adaline and Luna fall along the line of the sweet, popular girls of BirkWood High School. Adaline is blonde with bright blue eyes that always seem to have a certain sparkle in them. Luna is a brunette with light caramel eyes. She could make anyone fall in love with her with those eyes. 

 By the time I stop my train of thought, my two best friends are turning down the radio that they were just jamming out to as I was in my own little world.

 "What were you thinking about so hard, Amber?" Luna asks with a confused look on her face. 

"Nothing." I said with a smile. "Let's do this." I say as we walk through the doors of BirkWood High. 

  We look at one another schedules to see what classes we have first and where we will meet up after first period. Knowing our luck we have none of the same first periods. 

My Schedule ~ 

Earth Science ~ 1st 

Geometry ~ 2nd 

English ~ 3rd 

World History ~ 4th

Computer Science ~ 5th

Art ~ 6th 

ROTC ~ 7th

I guess we will just have to...

"Divide and Conquer." I say continue my thoughts but, out loud this time I say with a smile. 

We split off and go to our first period. 

As I head to my first period I readjust myself to the halls of BirkWood High.  I see the Preps. Jocks. Burnouts. Band Geeks with their big ass instruments. Wanna-bees. Anddddd the "Queen Bee" and her minions.

Samantha Fox. The "Queen Bee" of BirkWood High. All bow down, not. She walks by creating a small drift of wind and I pick up her smell of whoreish perfume. She does her iconic hair flip towards me. We don't have a great past but, that's for another time...

I roll my eyes and continue on to my first period.

Hello, my loves this is my first chapter of my brand new book!!! I didn't really like how my other book started off and I didn't like how it continued on. I didn't really have anywhere to go with it so I cut it off and started on this book!! Well, here ya go I hope you enjoy!! I will try to update asap...
