I shoved my legs in my skinny jeans as best as I could and shrugged as I looked in the mirror. Sarah was fixing her mascara and I was trying to hurry up so we weren't late for our reservations at Olive Garden. It was Friday night and almost everything gets packed this day of the week. I took some gel and ran my fingers through my hair, hoping for a good style. I then buttoned up my shirt and smoothed it out a little.

"Ready yet?" I asked, watching her put lipstick on.

"Give me, like, one more minute, Bren."

I sighed and walked into the living room and searched everywhere for the car keys and my phone. I heard jingling so I quickly turned around just to see my keys hanging from Penny Lane's mouth. I chased her around for what seemed like forever until I gave up and sat down on the floor.

"I'm done," I heard Sarah call from the bathroom.

"Alright. I'll be there in a second."

I heard the jingling come my way again so I stood up and saw the keys in Bogart's mouth now. I quickly picked him up and grabbed the keys.

"C'mon, Bren, we're gonna be late!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming," I mumbled as I slipped on my shoes and threw the cushions off the couch, hoping my phone would be there.

I heard a thud on the floor and figured I threw my phone with the cushions. Penny ran to the sound and started to bark at it. I went over to her and found my phone.

"Brendon!" Sarah called through the door.

"I'm coming," I yelled back.

Sarah was waiting for me at the door and made her way to the car when she saw me coming. I locked the door behind me and started the car. We got caught in some traffic on the way there, but we made it just in time.

"Mr. and Mrs. Urie, right this way," the waitor said, leading us to a small booth in the corner of the restaurant.

We sat down and looked through the menu.

"Hopefully we can enjoy a nice meal without chaos disturbing us," I mumbled.

"Mhm," Sarah hummed.

It's been awhile since we sat down together and had some time alone. Between my music and her job at the hotel, I don't know what's more time consuming. We relaxed a little and ordered our food. It was about an hour until it ended up in front of us, but a bunch of small conversations kept our patience.

"So I'm going to be on tour soon," I announced.

"That's good," she said, not sounding too happy.

"What's wrong?" I asked, cutting a piece of steak and shoving it in my mouth.

"Bren. You just ended your Vices and Virtues tour. Can't you wait?"

"But this is a high point of my career! The album is selling good and so will tickets if I go on tour!" I tried to convince her.

"I don't know about this. And I overheard you talking about Ryan. Do you think he's really gonna join the band again? He just left," she said, taking a sip of water.

"It would be great if he did," I murmured.

"I shouldn't have interfered again. It's your career. You do what you need to do."

"Whatever."

I lost my appetite so I just pushed the food around my plate. By the time Sarah was finished, my plate looked like mush. I paid for the meal and silently headed home.

"So I was talking to my manager about my pay and he gave me a raise," Sarah announced as she took her makeup off.

"Alright. Now I don't have to go on tour," I replied sarcastically.

"I'm sorry, ok? I just don't think you need to go. I want to spend more time with you."

"Why? A year ago you were having fun spending time with Jon. You don't think I found out? I know you cheated on me. I'm giving you a second chance. I can't believe you never told me though."

She froze and I can tell she was about to cry.

"H-how do you know?" She sobbed.

"Cameras in the studio."

I changed into my pajamas and laid in bed, hoping for a response. I heard her sniffling in the bathroom so I decided to check on her.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked, leaning on the door frame with my arms crossed.

"I needed to think about what I did and why I did it."

"Did you figure it out?" I asked, kind of annoyed.

"Yeah."

"Alright. Whenever you feel like being my wife, let me know. Good night, Sarah."

"Night," she whispered, holding back tears.

I fell asleep and hoped the tour came faster than anything.
