“Finn why are you back?! You were supposed to keep Marie away.” “Nicky isn’t it obvious? She died. Good work Finn.” “No you’re both wrong. She’s definitely alive. She’s safe far away from you people!” Finn stood by my side. “What the hell are you doing?” “I’m doing what’s right. For Marie.” I looked at him surprised. “Well, aren’t we going to fight them?” He looked up at me. I smiled and nodded. “Hell yeah boi!” Christa and Iris suddenly appeared by my side. “No, Iris go where somewhere safe!” “Hell no! I’m staying to help you!” She then pulled out a knife. “Pfft? Really? A knife?” Nicky scoffed. I was getting tire of her so before they could react, I picked up the road and whipped it forward like it was ribbon causing everyone to fall over. “Finn help me out!” Finn ran and picked up Christa. He then ran around everyone while Christa threw her weird nightmare glitter at them all. Marie’s father Stood up. He had horror written all over his face. This was a perfect opportunity to attack. I opened up my wings and sped towards him. With concentration, my fist was suddenly surrounded by steel. I punched with full force into his face. He flew back at least ten feet. “Ugh you b***h!” Nicky dusted herself off causing the glitter to fall everywhere. She screamed and ran towards Iris. Iris panicked and forced her knife forward. The knife dug straight through her chest.
Iris opened her eyes and gasped. She let go of the knife and hid behind me. Nicky gasped and coughed up blood. Her eyes rolled back and she fell over dead. “I did that?” Iris sounded shocked. I noticed the twins coming towards me so I quickly tossed Iris to Christa and flew upwards. The twins ran into each other and I laughed. They growled and tossed fire and water balls at me. I dodged the fire but the water hit my wing causing me to fly clumsily. “Damnit.” I slowly flew back down while dodging more fireballs. I then had an Idea. I let myself fall and I punched billy into the ground. “No!” Lily screamed. I smiled. “Jordan did you really just do that?!” Finn screamed at me. My smile faded when I realized what I’ve done. I looked at my fist. It was covered in blood. “You crushed my brother!” Lily screamed. Everyone covered their eyes because her scream was so loud. She stopped and cried by his side. “I-i killed him?” “We didn’t want to kill them! That’s not what heroes do!” Both Iris and I felt terrible. Lily grabbed the knife that was in Nicky. “You don’t deserve life!” Lily screamed and ran towards me. I flew back up to avoid her. She tripped causing the knife to go right through her. It killed her instantly. Marie’s father got back up and stared at me. Everyone died but him. He continued to stare at me until he slowly turned and walked away. Finn was about to stop him. “No let him go. We’ve done enough damage.” I landed and placed a hand on his shoulders. “Where’s Marie?” “I’m right here.” I turned around to see and exhausted Marie. She collapsed onto her knees. I ran toward her. “Are you ok?” “Yeah just tired is all.” She smiled at me and I smiled back.
“Everybody freeze!” We shot up startled. Police cars of all kind surrounded us completely. Guns cocked everywhere. We put our hands up. Iris wrapped around my leg. Marie scooted closer. Finn was already getting captured. “Wait a moment gentlemen!” An older man walks forward. “Hey buddy this area if off limits!” He just raised his hand at him. He instantly stopped talking. That was a bit weird. “I’m actually here for you.” He pointed at us. “What do you mean?” Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Xavier.” “Like Charles Xavier from X-men?” “No that’s just a coincidence. My first name is Xavier. Anyways, I need you to come with me. You’ll be safe I assure you.” “Wait Jordan, I don’t trust him. My father said the same thing and look what happened.” “How could we trust you?” He walked toward us and placed a hand on Marie’s shoulder. Her eyes widened and started tearing up. “Jordan, We need to go with him. He’s going to save us.” I looked into her eyes. They weren’t any different from before so she wasn’t being controlled. Xavier then placed a hand on my shoulder. I gasped slightly. I think I saw the future. We were all in a huge building there were all kinds of people with different powers. Then it was us in cool looking suits saving the world. Then there was a particular scene that slowed down a bit. A little boy with a set of wings. His wings looked like Marie’s except the bottom had a golden tint to it. The little boy hugged Marie and I kissed his forehead. Then I saw some of my friends. Mark, Jack, and Felix? What’s going on? “Oops I think I showed you too much.” He then winked at me. I blinked in confusion for a moment then smiled. “Are you sure you aren’t from X-men?” He chuckled. “Marie?” I knelt down a bit. “I trust you and him. I think we should go with him.” “She nodded in agreement. FInn and Christa followed behind. “W-wait what about me?” I turned around to see Iris standing there shyly. Xavier smiled. You can come along and be my assistant.” She smiled and ran over to us. The policemen looked at us in confusion. “That’ll be all men you are dismissed!” they all left confused. I held Marie’s hand and smiled. “I promise, you’ll be safe again. And this time, I’ll be here to protect you.”
Marie’s p.o.v
We made it out of town to a building in the middle of nowhere. “Welcome to your new home.” Xavier smiled and opened the gates. People of all ages were roaming around the yard. They all turned and smiled. “I swear you are from X-men!” I giggled at Jordan’s statement. I didn’t know what X-men were but I found it amusing. “Guys! I knew you were here! But how?” He waved at three men. One was a bit asian with red hair. The other two had green hair and blue hair. “Jordan?!” The green bean said. “How are you here?!” the blue haired one said. So they’re Irish and Swedish? I walked up shyly beside Jordan. “I didn’t think you had any powers, let alone wings! How did you hide them so well?” The asian asked. “Well, I don’t really know Mark. What do you have?” “I have my own set of wings too!” He turned around and there was a set of pink wings. “Jack has this electric green power and Felix has a flame type power.” “I’m also very strong!” “who’s this?” Felix pointed at me. “Oh, i’m Marie, Jordan’s girlfriend.” Jordan looked at me with shocked but then smiled. She has all kinds of powers. Wanna show them?” I shyly nodded. I closed my eyes and concentrated. I took off my beanie to reveal the flowers growing out of my head. My wings flapped open. I held a water drop in one hand and a fireball in the other. Fruit grew out of my arms. “O-ok Marie you can stop now.” I stopped and felt dizzy. I fell back a bit and Jordan caught me. “I’m sorry I didn’t think you couldn’t handle it!” “I’m fine Jordan. Relax.” “but your nose was bleeding and you started to sway.” I rubbed my nose. He was right. “That was really cool!” “Everyone! It’s dinner time!” A girl ran out the door. Everyone started to walk inside. “Hang out with us guys!” Jack yelled running in along with Mark and Felix. Jordan held my hand, christa and Iris tagged along beside me. Finally for once, I felt like i belong. I can finally be happy.
