"Isabelle Rose Grayson! Get your butt down here. NOW!" Emma Aires yelled up to her daughter. "Comin', Mama!" Isabelle yelled downstairs. She looked in the mirror. Her hair fell a little passed her shoulders. It fell in brown ringlets. Her eyes were a mixture of green and brown with little specks of gold, but only when the sun hit them. She sighed as she trudged down the stairs of her parents' three story beach house. "What, Mom?" Isabelle asked as she entered the kitchen. "Go pick up your brother", Emma said. "Where is he?" Isabelle asked. "Football practice", Emma said, making sandwiches for lunch. "We just moved here. How did you get him on the team? Plus, he's 10. Why did you put him in football?" Isabelle asked. "I called the coach before we moved, and he's a boy. Plus, he has too much energy", Emma said. "Okay. Whatever. Bye", Isabelle called as she got her car keys. She walked to her black Chevy truck. As she started the engine, she saw that her neighbor's red Mustang was missing. Even though it was midnight when Isabelle's family got settled in, Isabelle still checked out the car. She drove away, realizing she had no idea where she was going. She texted her dad for the directions. Well, her step dad. Before Isabelle moved to L.A., she lived in Tennessee. Her parents were signing their divorce papers when Emma decided to move to L.A. with her boyfriend. After those papers were signed, Emma and Brad Aires, her step dad, got married. Three. Days. Later. Her father wasn't pleased. It was planned that Isabelle would live with her father that summer. But, after Emma and Brad got married, Frank Grayson decided that Isabelle was too much like her mother. And he needed time to move on. Before seeing his own daughter. Emma begged her daughter change her name. Even if her real father practically disowned her by ignoring her phone calls, Isabelle just couldn't.
Her brother was a different story. He was ten, so he couldn't really protest. So, Xavier Grayson became Xavier Aires. Isabelle stopped in front of a football field, scanning it for Xavier. "Sis!" A boy with bright blue eyes and light brown hair called. "Hop in, kiddo!" Isabelle called. Xavier hopped in, excitement in his eyes. "How was it?" Isabelle asked, driving away. Xavier just smiled. His smile fell all of a sudden. "Do you think Dad will come to my first game?" Xavier asked. Isabelle's eyes watered slightly. She was speechless. "I guess that's a no", Xavier said. "X, you know he would if he could", Isabelle said. "He doesn't want to be around Mom and Brad. He doesn't want to see us, either", Xavier said. "That's not true!" Isabelle said. "Then why aren't you in Tennessee?" Xavier asked as they rounded the corner to the house. "Because-"
Isabelle looked up to see a girl in the road, rolling a bike. Isabelle tried to stop, but she hit the girl.
"CRAP!" Isabelle shouted as she stopped the car. Xavier had turned white. Isabelle ran to the girl. She was passed out. Isabelle looked at the beautiful girl. Isabelle had an odd feeling that this girl would turn her world upside down when she woke up. "Marie!" A girl called. Isabelle gulped. This was bad...
