Hunter's POV,

When I found Violet she was til at the school by herself just sitting there and not wanting to leave her there alone I offered her to come home with me instead.

We were now walking through the woods enjoying each others company.

"You're father is a good man." I told her but she didn't say anything.

We walked in silence for a while then she caught me by surprise.

"Why I'm I doing this!" She yelled.

"Are you-"

"Please don't. My father is going to kill me once he finds out that I'm with you." She said.

"Ya you're right about that but he's not here is he." I said.

She stopped walking and I looked back at her. "Hey, chill okay." I said.

"I can't chill, this is crazy. I'm just adding on to the fire." She said, and she ran her hands through her hair and was about to walk off but I stopped her.

"Hey what about we forget the father thing and talk about more important things. Like us." I said, and she looked up at me.

"What could we possibly talk about?" She asked. Gladly she doesn't know what I'm thinking right now, cause honestly there could be so much more we could be doing instead of talking.

"We can talk about anything like. . .our pets." I said. What a weak topic to chose.

"If you insist, Mouse has been doing good. He likes playing hide-n-seek and loves crabs. He's a very curious kitten." She said.

"Wait you named the kitten Mouse?" I questioned her.

"Yea and when did you get a pet." She asked me.

"I got my pet when my aunt left the box on my bed and when I opened it out came a baby ferret." I said, and she laughed.

"What did you name it?" She asked.

"I named it Mountain and he's a very lively animal, he likes to cuddle a lot. I had thoughts of sending him back to my aunt but I can't." I said, and she laughed.

"What's so funny?" I asked her.

"Nothing." She said.

"Right. Anyway we made it." I said.

"Wait, we made?" Said a puzzled Violet.

I stopped us at a large white oak. "Yes and this is my borderline, this oak tree tells others that you have crossed into or out our the territory or reached it. As usual the howl alarm starts and the patrols hurry to the border to catch the crosser." I explained.

"I know how it works but how does the tree come into play?" She asked.

"This tree is special. To keep my pack safe I let a warlock cast a spell on the tree that when someone crosses the borderline the tree releases a smell into the air." I said.

"What's the scent?" Violet asked.

"Skunk."

"Eww"

"Yep that's what we think about our intruders." I said, and she started laughed.

I'm glad that she is warming up to me a little more. We walked across the border and started to walk more and more.

"So what should I expect from a pack like yours." She said.

"If you mean by rudeness, violence and terrible attitudes. You just have to find out okay." I told her.
