He was running, anticipating the grip of the clown's hands on his shoulders. Panting and screaming, he realized he was nearing the dead end of the sewers.  "No escape" began to cross his terrified mind. His heartbeat grew increasingly rapid. In that moment horrifying thoughts began to run through his mind.
He paused in terror as he heard a bone chilling laugh trail the walls of the tunnel. He could hear the treading of boots as he stood there facing a wall in complete shock.
Then suddenly the sounds appeared to grow oddly quite. The only sound he heard was drops of water falling into puddles along the rusted pipelines.
He had felt as if he were alone this entire time, but as he turned around, he was mistaken.  He met eyes with the blood thirsty clown, it was dressed in mid-seventh century clothing, like a jester who would perform for a king.  The clown had a blouse that wrapped his neck and red streaks trailing from his lips to his eye lids which would resemble a chilling smile. Deep shades of yellow pierced his brown eyes. The clown grinned as if he had found a prize that it has been searching for for years. It grabbed him by the shoulders and pinned him against a wall as if he had supernatural strength. "I finally got you Anthony, who's going to save you now? Why don't you want to float Anthony?" We all float down here". Anthony didn't speak a word as if his lips had been sealed by fear.
"Answer me!", the clown said in an agitated voice. He still was limp and speechless as the clown held him in the air. the clown's eyes began to twitch and his face started to shake and its teeth began to grow sharp and long as if they were blades from a dagger, able to slice through anything.
Anthony watched in fear as the clown's face was distorting into a face only a nightmare could produce. As the twitching came to a halt, the clown smiled. "See you soon Anthony".
The alarm clock began to ring and chime, Anthony woke in terror, touching his body and feeling to see if he was awake or still trapped in the horrifying nightmare. He sighed in relief and began to shudder at the image of the Clown burned in his head.
"Who was i seeing in that nightmare? How did he know my name?" in a slight stage of confusion, he remembered what today was,
Derry's 130th Anniversary .

"How is this city even still functioning after that long?" Anthony thought. The celebration consisted of the same festivities as any other usual Town Event; Food, Carnival Games, and Drunken Parents. It has always been the same in Derry for as long as the Anthony could remember. At the Festivals, He would always eat a funnel cake and laugh as he enjoyed watching two drunks argue over ridiculous topics such as 'Who's wife was better in bed' or 'Who had the better IQ score'. which Anthony highly doubted either of there IQ scores were high. But that was a typical Evening in Derry, But there was something odd about Derry.
All the sewers were blocked up with 'Do Not Enter' signs, followed by caution tape. which was rather odd, Every time Anthony mentioned the strange sewer decorations, he would be scolded for being curious and would be told to mind his own business and that they were set there for a reason that would One day save his life.
Anthony always thought nothing of it but he was rather curious of what was down in the sewers, of what the town was hiding from him. Another odd thing was The Town had a curfew of seven o' clock in the evening. which is early for Anthony's bedtime but no one was forced to sleep. Everyone was asked to stay indoors and to keep the doors locked as if someone was going to intrude in their home. Very Odd for a town that nothing interesting ever seemed to happen in, The only interesting thing Anthony could remember was the day The library caught on fire and all the students were evacuated and were sent home. "Good times" Anthony mumbled.
