IT: The Reawakening

Chapter 4

The Arm reached out of the darkness to only take hold of the balloon and to only bring it back into the abyss. Katelyn's heart began to race, the tunnel lights slowly began to shut off, one by one, till finally there was only one light left directly above her. She stood still under the light, darkness surrounded her waiting to snatch her if the light gave up. drips of water echoed throughout the tunnels. "why is it so quite" she thought. suddenly, a pair of hands could be felt on her shoulders, she froze in fear, as she turned slightly over her shoulder, she met eyes with the clown, he put his finger over his lips as to signal the hush motion, "Shhh..see you soon". he quickly yanked her into the darkness with him. she awoken from her terrible nightmare, she felt as if she was in a river made of sweat. her muscles tense, and her body shaking .
"it was just a dream katleyn, it was just a dream".
She sat up in bed until dawn, as the sun slowly began to rise over the pine trees, she was still reliving the terrible nightmare. The clowns image burned into her head. "he's not real." she thought. "he has to be, it murdered zach. he's real". "no he isn't." her mind constantly at war with one another, not able to comprehend reality or dreams, she gives Anthony a call, the phone rings for a minute until he answers.
"Hello?" Anthony asked.
"Hey Anthony, This is Katelyn".
"Oh hey Katelyn, why are you up this early?"
"I had..a dream..no wait it was a nightmare. he was there."
"Who was there?"
"The clown from the carnival, the same one that murdered Zach."
"Oh God..Katelyn.."
"What??"
"Please tell me you didn't let it get you"
she gasped and sighed before revealing the truth.
"Anthony i couldn't help it." she broke out in tears.
"He was to fast, he grabbed me by the shoulders and told me he'd see me soon. Anthony tell me what that means!"
"Your on his list. we both are."
she started sobbing and was trying to keep herself together.
"What do we do about it?"
"I don't know Katelyn, but we need to figure something out. no one in this town is going to believe us if we say a killer clown is coming to kill us."
Anthony was getting agitated, he felt as if there was nothing he could do. but deep down he felt some hope. he felt as if there is a way they can stop it.
"Call everyone, tell them to head to the usual spot". And the usual spot being the loft upstairs in Anthony's home.
"I'll call everyone right now."  Katelyn said.
As everyone started to settle in there seats in the loft, Anthony quickly calls a role check, "Katelyn?" 'here', "Billy?", 'here', "Ricky?", 'here', "Eddie?", 'here', "Michael?", 'here', and finally "Brock?" 'here'.
"So why are we here Anthony?" Ricky complained. "I was in the middle of a Match online!"
"Yeah Anthony explain why we are here  at eight in the morning. that's too early!" Brock griped.
Brock is more of a demanding boy, it is either his way or the highway.
"You're all here for a good reason. There's a Clown trying to kill us." Everyone in the group, aside of Katelyn and Anthony burst into laughter.
"A clown? is that the best you can come up with for a joke Anthony??" Eddie laughed.
"It's not a joke!" Katelyn snapped.
"He's real. It's real. I saw him with my own eyes! He's the one that murdered Zach!"
The group became silent. Everyone's face pale as if they've seen a ghost.
"You mean to tell me a clown murdered Zach?" Micheal asked.
"Yes that's what we're trying to explain. He murdered Zach at the carnival. He Gets you in your dreams and Attempts to make your fate in your dream a reality. If you see him, you're on its list."
Everyone in the group gasped and stayed silent.
Billy stood up.
"So what's the plan?" billy asked.
"I don't know yet. But if you dream about him. Don't let him get you.
Whatever you have to do to stay away from him, you do. Let's make a promise right now."
Anthony stuck is hand out in front of him. Katelyn placed hers on top of his.
and So the others began to follow.
"Promise?" Anthony questioned.
At the same time the rest of the group declared the word.
"Promise."
