jaemin was sitting on the couch, staring into space. anybody would have thought he was watching the television, but he was just lost in his thoughts. he was over thinking 24/7 and was doing nothing else, he couldn't stand it anymore. he started to have headaches frequently and falling asleep was getting harder every night. and when he finally was in the arms of morpheus, he had a disturbed sleep, he was dreaming of the boy with crooked teeth and of the one with long and black bangs almost hiding his eyes.

all of the sudden, while another argument broke out in the reality show playing on the screen, he flinched. the doorbell just rang, announcing with his strident noise someone's arrival. in the corner of his eye he saw his mother putting down her book and taking off her glasses before running to the front door. the idea of getting up and helping her didn't even cross his mind, his limbs were too stiff to do so anyway.

but as his head was slowly filling up with thoughts, a childish and sweet voice with chinese accent brought him back to earth, in his living room. he lazily turned his head and titled it in an attempt to see the visitor's face, in vain. he started to listen to the conversation attentively, his mom and the stranger brought up his name a couple of times. his eyebrows furrowed in curiosity.

who the heck would come and disturb his mother at 6pm ? and why?

they bid goodbye and the loud sound of a door closing was heard throughout the whole flat. jaemin looked questioningly at his mother and with a whisper she put a pile of sheets of paper in his hands : "from your new class representative".

he started to the sheets of paper, which were lessons notes, carefully. everything was written in a neat and beautiful handwriting, but a few spelling mistakes were present. remembering the teen's accent, he asked himself if the mistakes were due to the fact he may not be fluent in korean or the result of inattention.

he closed the paper he was reading before taking the post it glued on the very first page between his thumb and his index :

"for na jaemin,
m.lee told us your injury wasn't healed completely yet.
i hope you're going to be okay!
i wish to finally see you anytime soon!
-huang renjun, your new class representative."

jaemin smiled slightly, he was touched by this stranger's special attention. and for the first time in a while, he felt like he could finally face the outside world again.
