Stay with me
Heels tapped lightly across the pavements. The murky streets of Birmingham brightened at the presence of the woman walking down the street. Men turned to see who the sound belonged too, only to quickly turn away when they realised who they were looking at.
Olivia smirked to herself. She walked into the Garrison to see Tommy, sitting on his own. Only Harry to keep him company. Olivia walked over to him, the sound of her heels interuppted him from his thoughts. Tommy glanced up to see the blonde looking like she was did, beautiful. Olivia pulled out a chair and sat across from him. Harry quickly placing a glass of her favourite liquor in front of her.
Olivia crossed her arms as she furrowed her brow at the man sitting in front of her. He carried on like normal.
'Olivia, how are you?' Tommy asked, with a cheeky smirk.
'You know damn how I am, Shelby. What happened?' Olivia almost spat. It was safe to say she wasn't happy, but Tommy knew he could sweeten her up. He leaned forward.
'Liv, I'm sorry. Arthur got caught up last night and it put us behind,' Tommy explained. Olivia rolled her eyes, still upset.
'You know I care for Arthur like a brother, But you need to put that man on a leash. He is going to get seriously hurt one day, Tommy,' Olivia spoke. Tommy loved that about her. She cared and not just for him but his family too. And she spoke some fucking sense. Tommy agreed.
'I know Liv. I'm sorry. I promise I'll take you out for dinner tomorrow night, how about that?' Tommy asked, pulling to unfold Olivia's arm to take hold of her hand. Olivia tried to avoid his gaze. She knew he was a busy man, But Olivia wanted her time with him too.
'You best do Shelby,' Olivia teased.
The couple had been stronger than ever. Olivia would help Tommy when it came to the business, a few occasions she would go out on jobs with him, But she knew she had his protection. Tommy knew Olivia's charm and wit worked and that's why she proved a good assest. But she was more than that to Tommy. He loved her and nothing or no one could take hat away from him.
Tommy and Olivia left the Garrison arm in arm. Olivia would smile to herself as the people of Small Heath would nod their heads to acknowledge Tommy but when Olivia was with him they would quickly turn away. There was no way any man would dare look at a woman who belonged to a Shelby, or even attempt to speak to her.
Olivia liked that. Something about it made her feel powerful, But it came with the territory. Nothing was coming between them.
The couple made their way to Olivia's home. As Olivia opened the door to let herself in, Tommy followed. She quickly turned around and pressed her body against his.
'Did I say you could come in?' Olivia questioned, a smirk over her face. Tommy looked down at her and wrapped his strong arms around her waist.
'Come on Liv,' he insited, trying to edge his way closer into her hallway. Olivia pushed him back, so he was outside the front door.
'I'm sorry Shelby. You're not coming in this house until after we have been for dinner. I'm making sure you fulfil your promise!' Olivia joked, whilst teasing. Tommy shook his head. Olivia shut the front door and laughed to herself. She watched from her window as Tommy chuckled to himself as he walked back down the streets of Birmingham.
Once he knew he was out of sight, He reached into his coat pocket and fiddled with the box that sat inside it.
Tomorrow.
