I couldn't sleep at all last night, my mother dragged someone home rather early so I got even less sleep than normal on these days. When I got to school I felt like passing out from how tired I was. As I walked through the halls I could hear people calling me "ghost girl", saying I looked possessed or a living dead. I just head to my classroom but on the way some people were startled when I was walking behind them.
"Geez, you need a bell or something. No wonder people are calling you ghost girl now, you're about as quiet as one." My footsteps are always light so that way if mom hurts people, she doesn't hear me if I am near her at the time.
"Sorry" I sounded even more quiet than usual, I was just so tired I couldn't talk at my loudest.
I just keep going to my classroom and sit in my seat, I was placed in the back since kids would throw things at the back of my head so the teacher thought it would get them to stop. He was right, nothing hit my head during class, but no telling when they would throw things after class. Class soon started and I was just so tired, a quick little nap wouldn't be bad right? I get grades that makes mom happy anyone, if they suffer a little then it won't be too bad. I then begin to doze off and soon fall asleep for just a little nap.
I was in a very long and dark hallway, It felt like I had been walking for hours. There was a strange noise echoing down the hall, slowly it would get louder as I keep walking. The only light I see is a small red light at the end of the hall. I keep walking towards it but I have a feeling that I shouldn't. I kept walking and eventually I had reached a door, the light was coming out from under it. The noise had also stopped before I could even tell what it was. I began to open the door and quickly I realized what the room was. It was the room mom takes all those people to to torture them. The door was wide open and there I saw what the noise must have been, it must have been screams. My father was on the floor with the knife in his head, his face even more twisted with terror than I remember. But his body wasn't like real life. One of his feet was cut off and the stump left behind was still bleeding. His chest had been cut open and his organs were scattered all around him. And I noticed that one of his organs was stuffed into his mouth. He must have still been alive until the knife was in his forehead, that means he lived through having organs removed and stuffed down his throat. I felt like I was about to puke up everything I had for the past week. The smell wasn't helping either, it was foul, like if you left raw meat out in the sun for weeks. I was crying rivers out of my eyes at the sight. I wanted to scream out but not a single sound came out of my throat, not even a tiny one. Then I noticed a figure in the shadows, one that I was too familiar to. My mother began to slowly walk towards me, she has an ice pick in her hand. I try to say something, anything so that she will stop and not hurt me for seeing, but nothing came out, I was completely mute.
"So-yi, you know to never come to this room." Her tone was dull and eerie, as if an actual ghost was talking to me. I began to slowly walk back out of the room.
"So-yi you know I have to do this, mommy has to do this so I won't have to kill you like the others, so please don't make this hard." I was filled with terror, I just wanted to get away. I started to run back into the hallway, but it was much shorter than last time. I ran into a wall only a few seconds after running. I was on the ground trembling, crying, I just wanted her to stop.
"I'm sorry So-yi, but mommy has to do this." She knelt down in front of me and with one arm held my chin so I don't move. I tried my best to yell out and make her stop, but no sound came out, not even a whimper. She then quickly plunged the ice pick into my throat. It was a short jabbing pain that quickly turned into a burning sensation of agony. She took out the ice pick, let go of my chin, and began walking away. I felt my blood run down my neck out of the wound. My entire throat was filling with blood, it was like I was drowning. I kept coughing up blood to try and get a chance to breath but it was no use. I was lying on the ground in my own pool of blood gripping my throat, watching my mother as she walked away. I kept trying to scream out and eventually I did.
"Mommy please help me!!!" But she continued walking until eventually she was out of sight.
I bolted up in my seat finally waking up from that nightmare. I was panting, tears stained my cheeks, and my throat felt somewhat sore, like as if that dream was real. I looked around to see what was happening, I had only been asleep for an hour and the teacher was still giving a lesson. I just started to try and catch up on what he was teaching. There was no chance of me sleeping until tonight after that, I would just have that same nightmare again. I just went through the rest of the day trying to forget about it, I wouldn't be able to learn if I kept thinking about it.
