I was sitting in the passenger seat of the moving truck next to my mom, we were moving from New York. I know right why would you want to go from the greatest city on earth to some small town Hicksville. Well simple my mom got promoted in her job as a reporter, apparently this is the best place for story's.

After our three hour drive we were finally here, and it was kind of cute i mean there weren't any malls or anything but it was cute and small. I walked into our new house, it was small and cozy, just one level. We moved all the boxes in the house, I ran to my room and started to unpack my stuff.

When I was all done I heard I quiet knock on my door, "come in" I chirped happily. " suppers done dear, remember you have school tomorrow" my mother spoke softly with a smile. I nodded my head and followed her to the dining room and we ate shepherds pie. Once I was done I did the dishes and grabbed my jacket off the hook, " mom I'm going for a run" I yelled to her from the door. " Okay honey just be back before eleven" she replied from upstairs, and with that I left.

I started off with a slow jog trying to pick a playlist for my run, my head was down in my phone so I didn't notice the person in front of me, so obviously I ran right into them. "Ow" the girl said. "I am so sorry I wasn't watching where I was going" I said quickly feeling horrible, we helped each other up and she held out her hand, " my name is Elena you must be new " she spoke with a small gentle smile. I nodded my head and shook her hand, " I'm Olivia".

We talked for a while, I learned that she just recently lost her parents but she's getting better with the help of her boyfriend Stephen, I told her about how my father left when I was three, we had a lot in common. "So are you going to school here?" I nodded " yeah I'm starting my 12 grade at Mystic Falls High" then my watch lit up telling me it was 10:30," oh I'm sorry Elena but I have to be home at 11" she nodded in understanding and we both went our separate ways to go home.
