Dead or alive

I woke up to darkness, pitch black, I didn't know where I was. " help me!" I screamed terrified of where I was, soon brightness consumed me and in front of me stood my mother, arms open waiting for me. I ran to her, tears running down my face, " I thought you died" I sobbed into her shoulder. " I did, we both have" she was so calm as she spoke as if her death didn't matter, "what?" I question my tear stained face looking up at her, she looked down at me. Her once comforting stare turned into a sorrowful one "we've both died" she frowned down at me, she looked heartbroken.

"I don't understand" I was in shock, what does she mean we've both died. I got pushed away from the moving truck, " A man shoved you out of the trucks path, yes, but with his strength your head hit the ground and you went brain dead" she squeezed me tighter hurting me. " mom you're hurting me" I cried out in pain, " I'm sorry darling, but I can't let you return as one of those monsters, I won't let you" she now started shedding tears.

I felt like I was being pulled from her arms, " mom what's happening?" I grabbed onto her arms digging my nails in her pale skin, " you're going back to the world, you're going to have to choose" she sobbed not having the strength to hold me with her any longer. " Choose? Whose what?, I don't understand. Please don't leave me" I was balling and felt as if I couldn't breathe, " I love you honey".

I came too, to see Damon above me. I was in the boarding house, Elena, Stephen, Caroline, Bonnie, and Matt standing around me. I just started balling " I don't want this!" I screamed in anger and heartbreak.
