Hi! My name is Tamantha Sheridan. I have brown hair, blue eyes, a Californian tan, and no mother. She left when I was two. We moved to a new town, my home town of Long Island Sound. I live in this apartment complex and I go to School at Senator Elementary School. I have a step-mother named Sarah and 3-year-old twin half-sisters named Julie and Tamera. Julie, after my mother, Julie Tyrone, and Tamera, after Tamantha, me. I'm not gonna complain, I'm not neglected or abused, but I do hate school. I'm dyslexic and I have ADHD, so it's not easy. Also, I'm tutored by Ron S. He's a huge bully and I am usually at the other end of that. Oh, well. I'm sitting here in my neighbors apartment. She's really nice. Her name is Sally Blofis. I'm best friends with Sally's daughter, Mackenzie. She's ten, my age. She has dark brown hair and green eyes. "Mrs. Blofis? Can I have some blue cookies?" I ask. There is a sound like a door closing.
"Sorry, Tamantha, Percy is home. When he is, he gets all the cookies." Mackenzie awnsers.
"Mom, we're home!" I heard an unfamiliar, masculine voice call from the doorway. "Mom?"
"Her and Dad are at the store. Me and Tamantha are in the living room. That's Percy" Mackenzie called.
Two adults walked in, about twenty-five. There was a boy and a girl. The boy, Percy, had messy black hair and colorful sea-green eyes, while the girl had curly blonde hair and striking grey eyes. Their hands were intwined and I met Percy's eyes.
"Hi, I'm Percy. Mackenzie's older brother. This is my, um, girlfriend, Annabeth. You must be Tamantha, right?" He smiled warmly at me.
"Yeah, I live next door." I shook his hand, then turned to the girl, Annabeth. "Hello Annabeth, I'm Tamantha." I held out my hand and she shook it.
"Firm handshake, not bad." She smiled at me playfully.
"What do you want, Percy." Mackenzie asked.
"Food. What else would he want, he's Percy." Annabeth laughed, and Mackenzie joined in. Percy pouted.
"Okay. What's going on. Annabeth, Why are you so bubbly? You aren't ever this happy. I'm sorry, but it's true. Now, tell me. Or I tell mom about the thing, Percy." Mackenzie accused, narrowing her eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Mack. You wouldn't dare."Percy said. Mackenzie growled and went to stand, but I pulled her back.
There was a slam. Annabeth scurried into the hallway. "We're home, guys!"
"Good, I'm starving!" Percy said, winking at me.
"PERCY!" Sally screeched, and ran toward him. She engulfed him in a bear hug. "It's so good to see you! How are you? How's Annabeth? Where is Annabeth?"
"She couldn't make it, not feeling well." He made a face and I looked at Mackenzie. She waved it off in a 'play along' gesture.
"Who's Annabeth?" I asked, playing along. If there is one thing I was, it would be committal. I never quit.
"My girlfriend." He said, smiling. "She's awesome, Smart, Pretty, Wise, Happy, Funny..." He trailed off.
Annabeth came from the hallway. "Glad you think so, Seaweed Bran."
"ANNABETH!" She hugged them both oh ether but winced and pulled away. "What's that metal?"
Annabeth coughed. "Probably just my engagement ring."
"Oh, yeah, makes sense... Wait, WHAT?!"

There was lots of screaming, crying, hugging, and screaming. "Well, Annabeth, I did as you asked and made friends with some potential Demigods and its as clear a day that Tamantha is one. She lost her mom at two, had ADHD, Dyslexia, and I think that she's a Cabin 10er, she always freaks out about weddings and stuff." Mackenzie said.
"Wait, me? Demigod? Cabin 10? I'm super confused. Mrs. Blofis, can you explain this to me." I said, turning to Sally.
"Well, you see, the Greek gods and goddesses are real. Sometimes, they have children with mortals. Percy, here, his father is Poseidon, God of the sea, and Annabeth's mother is Athena, goddess of wisdom. You would have your mother as a Greek goddess, since you never knew her. I talked to your father the other day and his mother is Demeter, goddess of grain." Sally explained.
"Ohhh, I still don't get it." I said.
"Wait? She's a DemiLegacy? Ok, Tamantha. I know you just met us and all, but you have to trust us. If you don't, you can talk to your dad, he'll confirm it." Annabeth said. I took a deep breath. In, out.
"I trust you."

We arrived at Camp Half-Blood and Percy took me on a tour. It was awesome. I really like Jackie, a daughter of Apollo my age, Declan, an eleven year old son of Ares, Gia, a twelve year old daughter of Athena, and Marc, a son of Hermes my age. I met Declan and Gia at the fighting arena, Jackie at the shooting range, and I met Marc at lunch. After lunch, I went for a walk along the river. I thought about my dad. He grew up here? Wow. I went over to the Demeter cabin and knocked on the door. A girl around my age opened the door. She had wavy brown hair and green eyes. "Hi, I'm Tamantha, I just got here. I was wondering if I could come in and talk to you guys. I don't really have anyone to talk to and my dad is a son of Demeter, apparently." She narrowed her eyes for a second.
"What's your dads name?"
"John Sheridan." I said, smiling at her.
"Hey Katie," she called through the door. "I got a legacy of Demeter out here. We know a John Sheridan?"
"OMGs! John Sheridan? Yeah, he wrote the campfire song! let her in, let her in." Someone called. I went into the cabin.
"So, you're a Sheridan? What's it like? What's your dad like? Is he single?" I was bombarded with questions.
"Yeah, I'm a Sheridan. It's like being a part of any family. My dad is awesome, he owns his own plant shop Sheridan's Planter Pots. He is actually married to a woman named Sarah and together they have twin daughters Julie and Tamera." Everyone winced. "What?"
The girl who opened the door put her hand on my shoulder. "Been there. My names Autumn. My dad married a girl named Summer and they had a daughter and named her Winter. I know what it's like to be replaced." Autumn said.
"What? No, I haven't been replaced. My dad spends as much time with me as he can, he's just busy with his job, his wife, his twin babies, and oh my gods I've been replaced." Autumn rubbed my back soothingly.
"Tamantha has reached Stage 2/5: Realization." Said the girl, Katie, in a mock announcer voice. Everyone laughed.
"Katie has reached maximum levels of comedy." I said, mocking her voice. She smirked and I knew I had started a war.
"Tamantha has reached level 0.005 of DemiGodness."
"Katie has reached maximum levels of stupidity." Everyone ooohed at that. The conch horn blows. In unison we say, "Dinner is served." I giggle and run off.

Gathered around the campfire, I start to sing a song that my dad wrote.
'Memories of the campfire. Memories of the songs that everyone would sing along. Yeah. Sitting 'round the campfire with all my friends and family. Sitting 'round the campfire. With all my friends and family. La la la la la la la la. With all my friends and family. La la la la, all my friends and family.' I continued the song for a while and was surprised when people started to sing alone. By the end of the song, everyone was singing along.
Annabeth came over to me. "How'd you know the campfire song?" She Amex me, looking suspicious. I laughed.
I outstretched my hand. "I'm Tamantha Sheridan. Daughter of John Sheridan, son of Demeter, writer of 'Friends and Family'." She looked shocked. When I realized it wasn't because of my dad, it hit me that it was because of my mom. I looked up and saw two wedding rings. I didn't know who that was, and why it freaked everyone out. Everyone got on their knees.
Annabeth called, "All hail, Tamantha Sheridan. Legacy of Demeter, and Daughter of Hera."
