We put Renesmee in Alice's bed and let her sleep. We come back down and see that Alice looks petrified. She must have saw what he does to us in the future. It must be gruesome.
"How is she?" Esme asks.
"Fine, she just has a little bit of a fever. Carlisle says she should be better by tomorrow." Edward says. I don't remember Carlisle saying that she would be better tomorrow, then I remember that Edward probably read his mind.
I hear something rustle upstairs. I immediately take off up the stairs. I go to Alice's room and see that Renesmee is awake.
"Hi honey." I say.
"Hey mommy." she replies.
"Do you feel better?"
"Yea a lot better!" At that moment Edward walks in the room.
"That's good." we both say. I look at him and he smiles. Renesmee smiles too. I wish there was a way I could protect her from suffering whatever fate lies ahead of us. But I knew that whatever happened we would face the danger. I would do anything to protect my family. I knew they would do the same too.
