Scott's POV
"Avriel Kaplan to my office!" My voice boomed over the intercom. Avi came rushing to my office. "Avi, as you know there is a new guy in my life. I want to ma-" he cut me off. "What stupid idea do you have this time?" I scoffed. "Fine don't help me plan an elaborate date even though it's one of your favorite things to do!" He looked at me with anger written all over his face. "What do you want to do?" Finally I had him reeled in! "I want to take Mitchell somewhere that he's never been before!"
Mitch's POV
As soon as I saw the caller ID I picked up the phone. "Well, hello there Mr. Hoying! How are you on this fine evening?" There was a slight pause on his end. "Why, I'm good Mitchell!"
"That's great sir."
"Mitchell, I need you to get dressed in something nice and I'll be at your house at 7. See you then?"
"See you then!"
And with that he hung up. I ran to Kirstie's room and yelled for her to help me get ready.
We ran to my room and I did my makeup while she picked out a simple getup out for me. She had grabbed a black button up with silver stripes and a pair of black slacks to pair and she grabbed my white heeled boots as well.
I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs as he rang the doorbell. I opened the door to those familiar ocean blue, piercing eyes. He pulled me into a warm embrace, his scent filling my nose and lungs. He smelled like a forest after it just rained, he smelled amazing! I could stay like this forever but he pulled away all to soon and said that we needed to go. I had no idea where we were going, but I trusted that he wouldn't lead me to far astray. He guided me to his beautiful black BMW that I had only been in a handful of times. He opened and shut the door for me and then climbed in and started the car. He moved one hand from the steering wheel to my hand. He was very laid back, and casual while driving, but he was still one of the safest drivers I knew. I laid my head against the leather interior and watched the scenery outside my window, before I knew it Scott was shaking my hand lightly. "Mitchie darling, we're here." I slowly opened my eyelids. We had been driving for a while because it was now dark and when we left it was still broad daylight outside. He hurried to my side of the car and opened the door. He extended his hand gracefully for me to grab. I hadn't quite figured out where we were. It was so dark. Once I saw the big letters I realized that we were a while from him. I was staring at the back of the Hollywood sign! How did he even get us up here!
After I gathered my senses, I started looking around and noticed a small table that was set for two. Scott slipped his hand into mine and walked me over to the table. He pulled my chair out for me to sit down and the sat down. He poured us both a glass of Chardonnay and then brought a basket from under the table. He set out a beautiful dinner and it was all so surreal! I couldn't believe he had done this for me. I happened to glance at my phone and the it hit me, the reason he was doing this was because it was our 6 month anniversary and I forgot! How could I forget, I didn't get him anything. What was I supposed to do now? I couldn't just say, oh yeah babe thanks for this amazing dinner but I forgot that it was our anniversary and I didn't get you anything. That wasn't happening. I waited until after we ate and he said that he needed to get something from the car to sent Kirstie a message.
M: So it's Scott and myself's 6 month anniversary and I didn't get him anything
K: what! Are you kidding me? What do you need me to get?
M: my company credit card is sitting on my dresser, go get it and go to the jewellery store down the road, pick out a bracelet or ring.
K: will do!
About that time Scott came back and handed me a black velvet box, encouraging me to open it. I opened it to reveal the most beautiful bracelet I had ever seen. I couldn't get believe my eyes! I had to get him a bracelet so we could match. I quickly grabbed my phone and told Scott that it was work related and excused myself. I quickly called Kirstie.
"Hey Kirst, scratch the ring idea and get a bracelet like this."

"You got it Mitchie!"
I hung up and sat back down at the table. We conversed for a while and then left.
He walked me to my front door and I quickly told him to come in. I ran to Kirstie's room and asked where she put it. She handed me the black velvet box and I opened it to reveal the same bracelet as the one I was wearing! I quickly hugged her and thanked her telling her I would never forget this. Even though I know it had to cost at least 2,000 dollars and I would get my ass chewed Monday for using the company credit card that way.
I bolted down the stairs. "Okay Scott, close your eyes and hold your hands out." He obeyed and I sat the small box in his hands. "Open your eyes!" He eyed the box cluelessly. Finally he opened it, revealing its contents. He looked at me in shock, pure disbelief! A small tear slid down his cheek. "What's wrong, baby?" He looked at me and smiled. "No one has ever done anything like this for me before and look at us! We have matching bracelets! We are literally the cute ass couple people see on Instagram and say, ohh I want to be them! Damnit Mitch, I LOVE YOU!" My turn to be in shock. "Scott, I love you too." He kissed me with all he had. He looked at me contently. "Wait, how did you get the money for this?" Shit! " I used the company credit card." I said simply waiting for an ass chewing that didn't come. He simply said okay and kissed me one last time before we said our goodbyes.I tried to get him to spend the night but he said that he had an early morning. Which would have been all the more reason to stay, it was three in the morning when he left.
That night when I was finally nestled in bed, I thought about it for the first time. I really had fallen head over heels for Scott, and now it didn't seem like such a bad thing.
A/n the bracelet that they both now own is pictured at the top! I hope you enjoyed this chappie because it's very late and I'm supposed to be watching my baby brother.
