Mitch's POV
I woke up to Mrs. Kane telling me that someone was here for me. I didn't want to wake Scott so I slowly slid out of bed and pulled on a pair of sweatpants and his shirt from the previous night.
I walked down the seemingly never ending staircase. When I got to the bottom I nearly fell over in shock. I rushed over and hugged them both. "Mom, Dad what are you doing here? Where's Jessa? It's been forever since I've seen her." I heard footsteps on the stairs behind me. A pair of arms wrapped around me and a kiss was placed on my neck. I turned around and placed a kiss on Scott's lips. I turned around to be met with my parents standing with their mouth's wide open. "One,who is this? Two, you know that your sister is busy with work." Mom finally spoke up. I looked at Scott and frowned slightly. "Mom, Dad this is Scott Hoying." Once again, mouth's dropped open. "As in Latcore Scott Hoying?" I heard Scott chuckle a bit. "Yes mom, as in Latcore Scott Hoying." I let out a laugh. Scott stepped forward and shook their hands. "And to who do I owe the pleasure?" He asked respectfully. "I'm Mike Grassi and this is Nel Grassi." My father motioned as he spoke their names. I watched the floor and twisted the ring on my finger. "Mitch what's that?" I looked up and met my father's eyes. I held my hand out. "This? This is an engagement ring." I saw a tear slip down my mom's cheek. "My baby boy is getting married!" She pulled me into a hug. It was one of those hugs where you try to get out because you can't breathe and they don't ever let go. "Mom, mom I can't breathe." I said patting her back. She finally pulled away. "I'm sorry baby." She said wiping tears and moving on to hug Scott. Dad pulled me into a hug. "You did good son." I smiled as he released me. He moved to shake Scott's hand. I took my place next to Scott and looked up at him. I looked back to my parents. "Mrs. Kane, could you please take their coats? You guys must be hungry." We all walked to the kitchen. I started making breakfast while we all caught up. There was a knock at the door. "I'll get it." Scott swiftly walked to the door. I heard a familiar voice. It was barely audible but I heard her introduce herself. "Hi, I'm Jessa. I'm Mitch's older sister. My parents said that they were here and I figured I could stop by and see how everyone's doing." A quick pause. "You must be the infamous Scott Hoying that Mitch is always talking about. Nice company, I have a phone, television, and computer." Scott chuckled. They walked in and I was met with the familiar face. "Jessa!!!!" She ran and jumped in my arms. "Oh, I've missed you so damn much since you left!" I said sitting her down. "Let me see it!" I held out my hand and showed her the ring. She gasped and grabbed my hand. "How much did this thing cost?" Her gaze darted to Scott. He quickly replied. "Not much, it was only like 5 grand." She started stuttering. "F-f-five gr-grand! How in the God's green Earth did you afford that?" Scott looked down and chuckled. "I make that kind of money every 15 seconds, it's not a big deal." She looked like she was going to faint. "Mitch, how did you, when did you?" Her mouth dropped open and her eyes narrowed. "You better not be marrying him for the money!" My turn to let my mouth drop open. "God no, Jessa! I love him! He's my rock and I'll be damned to let anyone think otherwise!" She hugged me. "Thank God! The lord above! I was worried." I shook my my head and giggled. I noticed Scott staring at me and smiling. "What? Is it something I said?" He looked at me and shrugged. "Did you really mean that?" I walked over to him and hugged him, burying my face in his chest. He wrapped his arms around me in a protective embrace. "Yes Scott, I meant all of that. Without you, I have no clue where I would be!" He tilted my chin up so our eyes would meet. He kissed me and then nuzzled into me. My parents and Jessa kept cooing and cawing at the sight in front of them.
We ate breakfast in a comfortable silence. Once we were finished, we cleaned up and picked rooms for my parents and Jessa to stay in. Once they were all settled in we told them to explore.
Scott and I had just gotten back to our room when I heard Jessa scream from down the hall. Scott and I got up to see what was wrong. When we got to Jessa, we noticed why she screamed. She was standing with the door to Scott's den. Scott quickly pulled the door shut and locked it mumbling something I couldn't quite make out. I grabbed Jessa. "Look at me. Look at me, Jessa!" She looked me in the eyes. I could see pure terror written all over her face. "You're a- you're a- you're a masochist!" She tried to run but I had a good grip on her. "Jessa, it really isn't a big deal. Please don't tell mom and dad. They won't let me marry Scott if they know." She looked me in the eyes, terror still evident on her face. She nodded slowly. I let her go and she ran back down the hall. I looked back at Scott. "What do you think will happen?" I shook my head. I looked down at the floor and started messing with the ring on my finger. "I have no clue. I just hope it's not anything bad."
A/n sorry that it was kind of an awkward ending! I hope you liked it though.
