Chapter 5~ Basketball

~ETHANS POV~

I needed to see her now. She was crowding my head. I couldn't think straight her smile had me lost. I could barely get through finals. Why am I stuck on her? She's just a girl I shouldn't care.

After finals I met up with Jack, Jake, Gray, and Aaron.

"Yo, do any of you know Lauren Jennings?" I asked them.

"No who's that?" Asked Jack.

"Um no one just my lab partner." I said shaking my head. "I need to know what room she's in though."

"Dude, no one knows her." Gray said.

"Ok ok I'll just ask someone else." I said walking off.

I asked a few people in the hallway if they had a class with her or knew her and everyone just shook their head and walked off. Then I saw Nate.

"Yo Nate, dude do you know Lauren Jennings?" I asked.

"Uh yeah, shes in my homeroom. Why?"

"Shes my lab partner.  Thanks man." I lied.

Why did I keep lying? I just couldn't tell them. I can't afford any gossip or drama about me right now.

I walked into her homeroom and no one was there. I looked at the board which read, "Happy Mail is in the corner!! Spread thepositivity!!" Perfect.

I left her a note saying meet me in the gym after school. I had the perfect plan.

I ran to the cafeteria and grabbed 2 sodas some candy and stole some pizza. I threw them in my backpack and ran off to class.

After school I went to the gym and set up the sodas, candy, and pizza. It was just what I wanted. I grabbed a basketball too. I want to show her my skills. I sat down and waited.

When the gym door opened my stomach did a flip. That was going to be my gorgeous girl.

"Hi!" She waved. "Oh my god what is all this?" She said surprised.

"I just picked this up from the cafeteria nothing much." I said.

"Well damn. You forgot the coffee!" Lauren laughed while sitting down next to me.

"Oh yeah I forgot that, but I hope you like sprite?" I opened it for her.

"Why thank you." She smiled.

We talked about what we do in our free time and laughed about stupid stuff we see on the internet. We talked about our friends and family too. Just being with her made me happy. I love hearing about her life and what she likes. Only thing I didn't tell her about is my youtube channel with Grayson because she's like the only person who doesn't know about it and I liked the thought of that.

"You play?" She said picking up the basketball.

"Yeah." I replied.

"You any good?" She asked.

I shot a 3 pointer and it went right in and I immediately looked at her to see her reaction.

"Damn you got some skill." She said.

"How about you? You any good?" I said putting the ball in front of her.

"Hell yeah." She said grabbing the ball. She dribbled down and shot right in front of the hoop making it. It was so cute.

We played a little one on one for a while and I beat her of course. It was so much fun. I could spent forever with her and I still wouldn't get bored.
