Lil' Troubles ~Chaptered Epilogue~

"You can't marry him," Dylan says as we sit together in the Starbucks down the street from the flat.

"What do you mean I can't marry him?" I snap as I glance at the boy, who had turned into a man.

"He's not right for you, Jess," he says as he grabs my hand.

"Dylan, we haven't seen each other in a year, you can't tell me who is and isn't right for me," I sigh, pulling my hand form his.

"I know he isn't the guy for you, Jess! I don't know if you remember this or not, but he kidnapped you!" He exclaims, and everyone in the shop turns to stare at us.

"Keep your voice down!" I hiss. "And he saved my life!"

"Bullshit!" Dylan hisses. "He ruined you!"

"Excuse me?" I snap.

"You're not the same Jess."

"And you're not the same Dylan!"

"He's not right for you!"

"Oh yeah? And who is?"

"I am!" Dylan yells in fury, standing up, his chair screeching across the floor. He pants heavily, and his eyes turn a darker shade. "I am," he repeats as he sits back down.

"Goodbye Dylan," I whisper as I stand up and leave him behind me. Behind me for good. I walk back to the apartment, shaking with anger. He can't just show up out of the blue and tell me that Niall isn't right for me! I love Niall, and I love our kids! He left me a year ago! He doesn't know me anymore! I gently open the door, knowing that the twins were probably asleep.

The moment I stepped into the flat I was overwhelmed by the wailing of babies. "Niall?" I call out as I slip my flats off.

"In the kitchen!" Niall yells and I follow the sound of his voice.

"What's going on?" I ask as I watch Niall struggle to balance the two twins.

"Oh, nothing, just trying to feed our kids. Would you mind?" He asks and I giggle before grabbing Melody and rocking her back and forth in my arms.

"Shh, baby, it's OK, mummy's here," I coo and she settles down slightly. "Niall," I say as I watch him grab the bottles. "They're too young for that, they need to be breast fed," I explain and Niall groans in frustration.

"Of course. Stupid Niall, stupid!"

"No, not stupid, you were just panicked. You were home alone with two babies." I comfort softly.

"You're a great mother, Jess. You haven't sworn once since they've gotten home," Niall sighs and smiles softly at me. I chuckle and glance down at the now calm Melody.

"I'm gonna feed them and then put them back to bed, can you call Zayn over and I need to talk to him."

"About what?" Niall asks in a jealous tone.

"Wedding stuff," I shrug and Niall nods, accepting my answer. He hands me Jai and pull his phone from his pocket, walking down the hallway.

Zayn knocks at the door just as I finish breast feeding both babies. Niall answers the door for me as I hold the now sleeping twins in my arms.

"Aww, they're adorable," Zayn coos as we walks into the living room. "Come see Uncle Zayn," he says as he grabs Jai from my arms. "I'll help you put them in bed," he says and I stand to accompany him. "So, what is it?" He asks once we're out of Niall's earshot.

"Do you think marrying Niall is the right idea?" I ask abruptly.

"Of course! It's obvious you two were made for each other!" Zayn exclaims. "What would you think something so absurd?"
