Welp, today was fair day and omg was it ever horrible! The heat was beyond barible and all the show bunnies are dying. My best friend Beka lost 5 bunnies one night and just lost another when we came back.
The pen of three she was gonna show were Californian Rabbits. In the first wave, one of the does died due to the heat and we went to get more for that pen. They traded out one of the does for "supposedly two more does" but instead we got two bucks instead. We got back home and put the three in one pen after her mum told her too, and headed off to the fair.
The show today was the dog show. Usually its not really hot during a dog show but today it was beyond hot. It was at least 100°F today and omg I was sweating my ass off. The code you have to wear is jeans and a 4-H or FFA shirt to be able to show. It was rediculous out.
The dog show was pretty fun. Dogs going through tunnels, sitting, walking, running, you know, normal dog stuff. After the agility part, we went inside to do the basics. The basics is usually walking in a circle, having your dog stay while you walk around the arena, that stuff, and it was suffocating in that building!
They did all these awards and Beka got third in everything, not her best but she did well in the heat. I barely had any water and kept my worries more on the dogs than I did myself. It was just that terrible out.
Once the show was completely over, we headed back home. We had to put the dog away and both of them ended up out and running down the street. Beka and I had to go chase them and our other friend Whitney showed up. They were suppose to wash horses for their horse show tomorrow, but we were delayed by chasing dogs half way across town.
All three of us finally caught the dogs and made a double leash to put both of them on it, and head back to Beka's. We got back and her little sister had a feed bag with something in it. Beka asked whats in the bag and her sister said that the doe from the pen of three had the two bucks gang on her and put a hole in her throat. Welp, that set Beka off hardcore and she was pissed. We haven't gotten to the horses yet and more things keep getting inturupted with something else.
I won't be at the horse show tonight cuz I'll be at a party but I hope that something doesn't go wrong at the fair.
