You didnt realize how long you had stay in that position, the only thing you could of done at the moment was say that one word that he wanted you to say. But, there was a price or to say that made you think otherwise. Jareth looked at you, your lip twitch, nervous as you were.

"You've..given me something, but what your asking. I'm...I'm not the one for you." he was sadden.

"I'm not taken likely, ____________. I've done what you ask, now you must reconsider-"

"Jareth..you know we cant..." Jareth wasnt pleased with the outcome of everything that he has done for you. It wasnt that you dont mind the idea of it, but a part of you knew this wasnt right to the begin with.

"Such a pity.." with that he took the crystal ball that was in his hand, dropping it. You were back in your room, dressed in your own clothes that you wore before you were wished away. Sitting down on the bed you kept wondering how this will end up.

"I have done what she ask and I ask for so little in return." Jareth was by the labyrinth gates. Sitting on the rock, talking to the gatekeeper, Haggle was his name.

"You just cant take someone and make them their queen, your highness. And my name is Hoggle." the king didnt seem to care at the moment.

"Shes not like Sarah, Hoggle." How could be forget the girl ask for the child to be taken and what he got in return was a broken heart and weaken for the time being. Hoggle bit his lower lip, he knew this would be brought up again, least the king himself was nice enough not throw him into the Bog of Eternal Stench. No, he made him swore that if he ever did this again with another one, he would be surely punished. How merciful.

"Why ask me?" he spoke. Jareth couldnt answer that question for he didnt know why himself. A fae falling for a mortal girl, it wasnt something custom in his realm. Strangly enough it wasnt possible for something to happened. He was king and he could do whatever he pleased. He too felt lonely, this little game of cat and mouse was getting tiring and sooner or later, he needed an heir. Who else would take care of his loyal compaions, his goblins, the kingdom...everything was slowly changing and he wasnt getting any younger. Jareth slowly got up from his seat, walking passed Hoggle as the gates opened for him. Hoggle wasnt sure what happened, but least for now the king wasnt angry at him. Picking up his spray gun he went back to killing the faires that were along side the walls of the labyrinth.

You didnt know how long you stayed in that room. The king himself ask you the question. Laying there you wonder what life would of been like if you were loved, cared for..even...a friend. God why did everything have to be so difficult. Getting up from the bed and walking over to the window, you sat down on the windowcel staring out beyond the kingdom before you. Like the book itself from what you remember, it was big and so was the labyrinth that was even bigger that you could ever imagine. The labyrinth was a dangerous place to be in, riddles and puzzles and all. It was a game to him. You hope you never would have to play his game. least for now, he seem like he himself wasnt planning on it. A knock was heard on the door, you looked back at the door for a moment, before looking back at the outside world once more.

"Come in." hearing the door opened and closed from behind. Footsteps were heard as soon as you felt someone behind you. You looked with the corner of your eye.

"You are such a difficult girl, ____________."

"How so?" you asked. Jareth saw you were so into his little kingdom, he seem to curl his lip of amusement.

"Most of them would have fallen for me, such a thing is never ask." where was he getting at. You turned to him only to find that he too was looking outside.

"Yet..." he didnt say a word at the moment, he looked down at you, placed his gloved hand against your cheeks. Softly caressing them, he stared at you like you were his everything, the want and need for someone to be with him was killing him inside. You on the other hand felt guitly.

"All I ask is just think about it precious." he leaned in and kissed you on the cheek, before departing. You didnt want to see him leave, but maybe..

"Jareth?" he stopped before exiting the room. Standing there in that spot he waited for you. "I dont want to be alone." he too felt the same. "I know its alot of you asking me, but.."

"Yes?" he spoke. You gulbed a little inside.

"Can we just know each other first? I never done this before and..I want to make the right descion of my choices." normally he wouldnt allow it. The girls he ask in the passed always either take the crsytal ball, leaving their siblings to become goblins or reverse it. Jareth didnt want to wait, but if this was something he wanted really bad, than he would have to suck it up. Jareth turned his head around, seeing you just wish he could kiss you right now and finally be comitted to one another. Oh how he was wrong...oh..so..wrong.

"I'll take you to my labyrinth and continue talking from there. For now, precious rest up." with a snap of his fingers you were back to the night gown you were on before. Taking his leave as he exited once more. You walked over to the bed, laying down as the scent felt famaliar as you drifted off to sleep.

Your eyes can be so cruel. Just as I can be so cruel.

Jareth looked down at his crystal ball, you were dreaming of him. Your dreams were something he could see you when you were in the other world. Now he has you in his castle, though never in his life he would be in this situation. King always get what he wants until those words that he hated so much that stopped him. Nevertheless. He watched as you were dancing in the ballroom by yourself yet he saw a glint of himself there. Was she trying to stay away from him? The ball disappeared from his hand, frowning himself.

"I wonder..." he spoke to himself.
