Dressed into another one of those beautiful outifts that he has given you. This one was almost the same only this time it was more of a dark shade of green. The little goblin from before guided you down the halls once before. It was too quiet than usual. You looked down at the goblin, a loyal subject to the mighty king himself.
"What made your king decided what he wanted?" the goblin didnt speak. You only sigh to yourself. "Let me guess, he doesnt want anyone to talk to me?" it never spoke. "Please, I wont tell." the goblin stopped in its tracks, infront was the door. The creature looked up at you.
"He's a great king to us all. We want him to be happy." the doors opened only to be revealed to be somewhat of a garden. You looked down at the goblin, before moving forward. The doors shut behind, causing you to jump for a moment. A voice was heard, you turned your head and followed the sound of the voice from your dreams. It must be him. Left and right, the little maze you seem to be in. You saw all sorts of different flowers, rare ones that you never consider to be seen. Elegant as they were, some were alive.
"What kind of magic spell to use? Slime and Snails or Puppy dog tails, Thunder or Lighting, something frightening."
And than you saw him as he looked over your way. Jareth began to walk over to you, looking up at him. You bowed a little, causing him to smile.
"Very proper." he spoke. You moved up to him, placing a hand on his chest. The pendant was in view as you were curious on what it was.
"Jareth.."
"Yes, precious?" you bit your lip, before looking up at him. "Wait, let me show you the labyrinth." he snapped his fingers as you were in the center of the labyrinth. He began to walk as you began to follow.
"Its beautiful." He only curled his lip, walking side by side. He couldnt stop looking at you from the side. "Your subjects are nice, kind even. I always thought goblins would be.."
"No, what kind of a king I be than." You stopped to look at him.
"I suppose you're right."
"Have you taken my offer?" he asked.
"Its such a big offer." He moved closer and with a flick of his wrist, the crystal ball appeared once more.
"Its more than I've ever given." it was tempting. He moved away from you, putting the crsytal ball away as well. "I know I cant make you love me, but I'm not getting any younger."
"So..you're just using me than." Jareth frown to himself.
"I never dealt with human emotions, so its a little difficult to understand them from time to time."
"I guess I know how that feels than." Jareth looked back at you only to see that you were watching the little fairies fluttering onto the wall. A few of them giggle, you reach your hand out. Yet, before you could even do that, a hand was placed on your wrist. You looked over at Jareth.
"Trust me, you dont want to do that."
"Why not?"
"These fairies arent very sweet as they are told in your books. They have a nasty habit of being nasty to creatures, not very found of humans either." he slowly let go of your hand, he soon began to walk. You looked back at the fairies, chuckling as they were. You were freak out a bit and hurried up after Jareth.
~
It became quiet for the rest of the trip. You didnt like it one bit, but because if you did, Jareth probably thought you had the answer he been wanting for so long since you wished yourself away from the human world. It wasnt until you saw a bunch of goblins heading throughs you and Jareth. Jareth notice his subjects coming to him. Bending down on his knee, he took the letter from one of them.
"Sire, its news of the other realm."
"News you say?" Getting back on his feet, you were quite curious about this other realm. Jareth stopped himself from opening it as he turned to you.
"Poppy, can you take ______________to her chambers." You were about to say something, but when you saw the goblin before you. It was indeed the very goblin from the very beginning. So that was her name.
"Come with me, miss." and so leaving Jareth alone, seeing him walk away. To be honest, you really didnt want to leave him.
~
Sitting in his throne room, the goblins were making a ruckess and personally he didn't mind it. Opening up the letter, he began to read it,
To Jareth the Goblin King,
News have reach that a ball would be held at your kingdom. To prove that you still exist we must see if your kingdom is even worth having a status. Providing that you don't even have a Queen, I offer you my daughter Solla. The ball would be in two months.
Sincerely King Harriet
"Solla...that wrench." he crust the letter tossing it on the floor, the name was distasteful. Even when he was an only child, playing with her..well...she wasn't really his type. The goblins looked over at their king, crossing his leg over the seat, while having a riding crop, tapping it on his foot. The hand placed on his chin as he was in a thinking position. Its better not to say anything, until the goblins widen there eyes, an echo came to their ears. Jareth was a bit surprised.
"He said the words, lets take that baby." the goblins chuckled with glee as they rush out from where they were. Jareth tossed his crop to the side as he looked up. Another one, well it was getting a tad boring,
"Lets see who our new victum is~"
~
"Please I just want my brother back." seeing the Goblin King face to face, Jareth only pulled out his crystal ball, playing with it as it swirled all around his hand, he only chuckled a little, yet kept his serious face.
"Forget about the baby and I will give you this. Your dreams, no one would even remember that the baby exist. Free from all this." Jareth was no fool that the boy wasnt going to give up. Humans these days, if only they were someone like you.
"I challenge for my brother." Jareth snapped his fingers as he and the boy were at the beginning of the labyrinth.
"Dean, you have thirthteen hours to finish the labyrinth or your baby brother becomes one of us." slowly disappearing from sight. Dean was confident that he would beat the labyrinth. Oh how he was so wrong.
~
Sitting by the window once more, you watched as the clouds move in, dark as they were. You felt something wet hit against your skin. You never thought the underground would even get rain. It was peaceful to say the least. As the raindrops began to fall even more, you heard a knock on the door. You said it was okay for them to come in, hearing the door opened and closed. The footsteps, you knew who it was.
"You'll catch a cold leaving that opened." he spoke. You only chuckle at him,
"You know I dont mind the rain."
"That I do." he moved a bit closer to you, sitting on the other side of him. You looked over at him, his smile drop, his eyes were focusing out there. His arms were crossed, yet he was playing with his crsytal ball. Jareth took a peak and looked over at you. Only causing you to look back outside. Jareth looked back out once more. "Theres going to be a ball in two months and I was wondering..."
"Wondering?"
"Yes precious. Would you accompany me?"
"I..I dont know how to dance." Jareth only chuckle to himself. Staring down at the crystal ball, he kept seeing the dream of which you and him dance in that very same ballroom that was in this castle.
"I'll teach you."
