"Wait what! What hospital is she in?Okay, I'll get there as soon as I can. "Father exclaimed while talking to the person on the phone. Father hurriedly put down the phone and picked Sam up from the cot. Sam was puzzled he wondered what had happened.
After they arrived at the hospital, Father immediately ran as fast as his legs could carry him to the corridor of the ward he was told to go to. When the doctor came out of Mother's ward Sam finally understood what had happened and the doctor said, "I will check on her tomorrow. Please be mentally prepared and she needs rest."
He thanked the doctor and went in with Sam in his arms. Father put Sam down and picked up Mother's hand and prayed for her to wake up soon. Suddenly, "beep! Beep! Beep!" The heart beat monitor beeped to alert us that Mother's heart is not beating anymore. Father immediately pressed the emergency button several times rapidly. Then, leaving Sam in the ward to call for the doctor. Sam's face turned pale and his heart skipped a beat.
The doctor pushed the door opened and asked for Father and Sam to exit the ward. They pushed her to the emergency room with a stretcher as Father and Sam followed.
Waiting outside the emergency room with Father, Sam could hear Father heart beating as fast as lightning and Sam could also see him trying to hold back his tears.
