I felt a repetitive poke in on my cheek. I groaned and lazily turned over. My mind was spinning, so many things had happened last night. It was just overwhelming.

"Eric. Eric! Erica," Chase's voice giggled. "Good morning, sunshine!"

"Chase, you know I need sleep. I'm freaking tired." I mumbled, grabbing a pillow and putting it over my face.

"No, I didn't. That's why today, we're going on a date. To learn more about each other. Not just use each other for. . .kissing. And, stuff." he lectured.

I threw a pillow at him and smiled, "What time is it, then?"

He paused, "It's. . .ten. Twenty. One."

"But it's so early, Chasey. I wanna sleep. I want you to be my pillow." I faked a hurt tone.

He pulled the pillow away from my face and cuddled next to me, "I'd rather be a freaking awesome teddy bear with glasses, nerd powers, and swag."

I laughed and cuddled closer, "Okay, swag-master. But see, this is nice. We get to cuddle, and I get to sleep."

He sighed, "We need to wake up though."

The door opened, "Chase, is Eric here again?"

I smiled and waved to Mrs. Jared, "Hey."

"Oh, hi. And, Chase, why is Eric using you as a pillow?" she wondered, awkwardly.

I laughed, "Because I was feeling lazy and tired, and I kinda told Chase to be my swag-master-pillow-teddy-bear-with-glasses. And nerd powers. It's complicated."

She nodded like I was actually making sense, "Okay. So, do you two want breakfast?"

"Yeah." Chase and I said at the same time.

"Alright," she nodded. "I'll make some bacon and eggs."

She left the room and closed the door. I cuddled closer to Chase, and kissed his forehead. He smiled and blushed.

"Okay, I'm serious though." he nodded, looking up at me.

I kissed his cheek, "Still serious?"

He paused to add a dramatic affect, "Yes. Now it's time for you to get ready, lazy."

He got up and walked out of the room. I sighed and got out of his bed like he told me to. I washed up and got dressed. I yawned as I walked into the kitchen. Mrs. Jared was messing with the bacon.

"Hey." I greeted, taking a seat at the table.

"Morning, Eric." she replied.

Chase walked into the kitchen and smiled at me, "Finally awake?"

I yawned, "Still a little tired, but yeah."

"I don't mean to be rude," Mrs, Jared began. "But, are you two finally going out?"

I blushed, "I guess it was kinda obvoius."

She laughed, "Yeah it was. But both of you need to understand that your relationship is a little different. It's fine being gay, but kids aren't as accepting. So, be careful you two."

"Mom," Chase scratched the back of his head. "Thanks for the speech, but I think we get it."

"It was a nice little speech, I'm glad it just wasn't about the birds and the bees." I laughed. Chase held in a smile while his mom rolled her eyes and served us breakfast.
