"I just want the answer you give when someone asks why you've been so happy lately."

"This is a bad idea guys..." Draco said as soon as they entered the club. Pansy sighed and turned around to face him. "Let loose and relax for tonight, alright Draco?" she said, crossing her arms.

He nodded but he still looked skeptical. "I'll go buy us some drinks." said Blaise, giving Pansy a quick kiss on the cheek before getting swallowed by the crowd.

Draco looked around the room and was about to suggest going onto the dance floor when suddenly he was hit with a sudden surge of pain. "Draco? Are you alright?" Pansy asked, placing her hands on his shoulders.

"Ye- yeah i'm fine. Cramps or something." he groaned. She didn't look entirely convinced but she quickly forgot about it when something caught her eye. "Is that Hermione Granger?" she gawked.

Draco looked up and surely enough, Hermione was stood in the middle of the dance floor making out with Ron.

Without thinking, he marched towards the two and practically threw Ron off of Hermione. "Draco!" Hermione slurred, "I was having fun!"

He stared at the girl and turned to Ron. "You got her drunk?" he questioned.

Ron put his hands up defensively and shook his head. "I didn't. I went to the bathroom and when i came back, she was like this." he said. Ron didn't seem to be drunk but he certainly slightly tipsy.

"I'm going to take you home." he said to Hermione, placing her arm around his shoulders and holding her up by the waist. "No!" she laughed, "You're not my soulmate anymore so you can't make me."

Draco sighed. "You know that's not how it works, Hermione."
"Did she just-" Blaise began.
"-say soulmate...?" Pansy finished.
Ron didn't say anything. He was too busy standing there with his mouth open.

Draco turned around to see Pansy and Blaise looking back between Draco and Hermione.

"It's a long story..." Draco said sheepishly whilst Pansy and Blaise exchanged glances.
"I'm going to take her home. You two stay out and have fun, apparate to mine once you're done."

He didn't wait for a reply. He held onto Hermione closely and apparated back to his apartment.

"Hermione go sit down, i'll go get you some water." Draco said, leaving her by the couch. When he returned, the girl was sat on the couch fumbling with her fingers. He handed her the glass but when she looked up, he saw that she had tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows as he studied her face. The girl simply put her glass on the coffee table and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

"I'm so sorry." she whispered.
"Sorry about what?" he asked, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Everything i said. I didn't mean it." she mumbled into his shirt whilst Draco ran a hand through her curls. "It's fine."

The two embraced each other until Hermione eventually pulled away and stared at Draco. "What?" he asked, bringing his hands up to his hair, "Is my usually-perfect hair not perfect?"

Hermione laughed and shook her head, wiping her cheek with her hand.

"Have i ever told you you have really pretty eyes?" she said. Draco smiled and stared up at the ceiling in thought. "7th year. You tripped down the stairs and i caught you. You stared at my perfect chiselled features and told me i had pretty eyes."
