Dear Journal,
It's a weekend. I don't have work today. But I like work because it keeps me busy. I have to shop for Phil. Phil is my best friend. He is my motivation for getting better. He does this thing everyday when he puts me in front of a mirror and I can't leave until I say one nice thing about myself and then one encouraging thing to myself. Today I said I liked my hair and I said that today I'm going to fill my heart up by the end of the day. I leave the house and go to Phil's favorite shop. It's called Games For Nerds it's a very accurate name. But the name of the shop is not in the middle. But I don't let it get to me because I can't change it. I go in and get the Monopoly and the Clue because when we played them I lost. I got sad and I threw out the playing pieces of Monopoly and the cards in Clue. I am apologizing by buying Phil the games again. He was so nice though. He said it was ok and he didn't care about the silly game. That made me feel good about my life. So today I'm surprising him. I say thank you to the cashier and I walk home. I say Phil guess who has a surprise for you! And he walks into the room and says I assume it's my best friend in the world Dan. That makes me smile. I show him the games and he keeps smiling but happier. And he says Thank you Dan. This is a great surprise. Then I remember I have nothing to do tomorrow. So I tell Phil because we like to play board games when we have nothing to do. He just says ok and goes in the kitchen to make me dinner. Then 45 minutes later the bell flashes and Phil serves us dinner. I cook every other day.
