Who could say when Veda Allaway officially turned insane? Maybe it was when she hit her head on the kitchen table when she was five, or from the moment she was born, but she knew that, beyond a doubt, she was declared insane the moment she met Kai Grayson. No, she didn't fall in love with him, in fact, she hated him with every fiber of her being, but how do you hate someone who's not even real? That's right, he's her imaginary friend, or at least that's what she thought when she was younger anyways. The problem with her "imaginary friend" though is that he doesn't go away when she wants him to. He talks to her, keeps her up at night, and sometimes she can even feel it when he touches her, but she knows that he's not real. How does she know that? That's thanks to her best friend Raya Dempsey.
Veda met Raya when she was seven and the hallucinations weren't completely life shattering yet. Veda had been on a swing at the park for her mandatory hour of play time when Raya had decided to sit in the seat that Kai had been currently occupying. Veda hadn't been able to contain herself and shouted for her to stop before she sat on him.
This exclamation of course surprised young Raya, but due to her parent's medical background she was able to see that something wasn't right. That night Raya went home to tell her parents about the little girl on the swing who was scared for her to sit on air. That's when Mister and Misses Dempsey decided to take Veda's medical care into their own hands and declare her insane.

Sorry this is just a little of an UNEDITED taste to give some background to the story before it really begins.
I would also like to say a cheerful HELLO! It's so nice to meet any of those who have taken a chance on this story and I will do my VERY best to update regularly. I'm debating making it an every Saturday type of thing even though I will be posting this prologue and the first chapter today (which happens to be a Sunday).
So right after I post these two chapters I will be in search of a cover for my story and if all else fails I will make my own, which isn't my favorite option but I will surely do my best!
Anyways I hope everyone enjoys my story and sticks with it!!
