Ciel's POV
It had been a few weeks since I had been given the job of finding the queens owl. I had found a few bits of information about her, such as her cousin had been murdered two days after her disappearance, and that everyone who worked for her had been killed. I had crossed a few names off of the suspect list, but I wasn't any closer to finding the girl. Someone knocked on my door, probably Sebastian. "Come in." Sebastian walks in with a letter "what is that?" "A letter, young master." 'Damn demon...' "I can see that." I glare at Sebastian and take the letter.

Dear Earl Phantomhive,
You are invited to the Trancy Estate for a masquerade ball on September 13th.
We hope to see you there,
Sincerely, Alois Trancy

This might work in my favor. I still need to look for Y/n. I set the letter down and look over to my left where Sebastian was. He's gone. "*sigh* damn demon." I mutter. "You called?" I jump up and look behind me where Sebastian is holding clothes and a mask. "I hope these will work for the ball." He says.

Your POV

I'd heard that Alois was hosting a ball. He wasn't in my room at the moment, I actually had no idea where he was, so I pulled out a few dresses and set them on the bed and found a mask in a box on a shelf inside the wardrobe. The mask was colored silver with F/c designs around the eyes. I looked back at the dresses, one was pastel purple with white lace here and there and a slightly puffy skirt and it was form fitting around my waist.  The second one was long enough to hit the floor, it had spaghetti straps and was made out of a silky deep green material, and it was more puffed out on the skirt than the other one. There was a final one, (pic above, just change the color to whatever) I liked it the most, so I slipped out of the one I was in and changed into the F/c dress. I put my hair in a braided bun and put the mask on. In my opinion I looked good. I put on some black flats and looked at myself again. I loved it.

It had surprised me when Alois let me go to the ball, but when he told me what I could and couldn't do, I realized that it was probably not any better than being trapped in my room all day. He also wanted to pick my dress. I sigh. There's nothing I can do to change his mind. I lay down and think about the rules.

"You can't talk to any men without me there

Timber will be there to watch you when I'm gone

You can't go outside

Don't tell anyone about your 'situation' here

Your not to dance with anyone exept me"

I guess its not as bad as being trapped in my room most of the day, but its not much better either.

Be glad.
