(Matt’s POV)
“Oi, Matt!”
I turned around just to check who called me.
“Ikaw pala, Chris.”
Dali-daling lumapit si Chris sa kinaroroonan ko.
Tumakbo siya na parang wala ng bukas. Nakabangga pa siya ng mga iba pang students.
In no time, katabi ko na pala siya.
“What’s up with you running around like a fool? Nasa university ka. It’s not good na patakbo-takbo ka. Hindi ito playground” I reprimanded Chris.
“Ha?...Hoy, pare!...Ang KJ mo! Porke mataas ang posibilidad na magiging lawyer ka, ganyan ka na! Hahaha!!!” he replied jokingly.
I sighed.
Wala akong magagawa. Si Chris kasi ay yung type ng tao na kahit saan siya, kahit sino pa ang kasama niya, hindi siya nahihiya makipagbiruan.
How I wish magagawa ko din ang mga bagay na yan.
“Want mo ng snack?” tanong ko sa kanya.
I offered him my sandwich.
He ate all of it.
“Grabeh ka,pare. Di mo ako tinirhan.” I said.
Natawa na lang siya.
I smiled.
Loko kasi talaga tong taong to.
Our university canteen is big, just like in Harry Potter’s Hogwarts dining room.
A private school and known for being a home of the topnotchers, my university is a popular amongst women.
Place daw kasi ang school namin ng mga gwapito.
Gwapito kamo?
I actually hate that part of the rumor about our school.
Most of the guys here sa school ay hindi pumapasok para lang mag-aral. Most of them are just show-offs dahil may magandang image ang school.
Bunch of craps.
Chris started another topic para pag usapan.
“Hey. Ano bang rason kung bakit NGSB ka?” Chris asked.
What’s with his question?
“Why’d you ask?Is it considered a crime for a guy not to have a girlfriend even once?” tanong ko sa kanya.
He was shocked.
“Hey.Hey. Cheer up,dude! I’m just asking! Hahaha! Don’t let your screws get loose!”
Somehow, I am tired of people asking me about my lovelife.
For me naman kasi it is not a big deal. For others, it’s a funny topic and issue.
I straightened my back and looked at Chris.
“I just want to devote myself to studying. After graduation, I can have all the fun that I have been yearning for for ages.” I answered him directly.
I looked at Chris.
“Kuntento ka ba sa sagot ko? Sabihin mo lang kung hindi pa, isasabit kita sa puno dun sa labas.” I joked.
Chris laughed and asked me kung nag-joke ba ako. When I answered ‘yes’, he just can’t believe it dahil daw seryoso ang look ko.
Yeah, that was a joke. Hindi nga lang halata sa mukha ko.
