Final Breath

A Step Forward

"Luke Castellan." Avenger spoke with a little bit of fear.

"Luke........ Is that really you?" I asked as he pulled his hood off.

"Yeah it's me." He stated plainly. He looked stronger but other than that he was the same old Luke from when I was a child!

I got up and gave him a tight huge he looked a little surprised by it actually.

"So I guess you have forgiven me!" He said with a smile as we stood there.

We spent the next few minutes catching up and laughing when a thought came into my head. "How are you back?" I asked with curiosity.

"It was all him..." He says while pointing over to Percy who looked like he was sleeping peacefully. "He brought me back and gave me a second chance. We have become best friends and brothers, it's funny actually, the student is training the teacher now since I use to train him." He started to smile then looked down like remembering something.

"What's wrong Luke?" I ask.

"Nothing really just remembering a bonding experience that we shared on one of our missions." He stated plainly.

"Oh." I all I could say even though I really wanted to know what. I couldn't hold back my curiosity any more, I had to ask.

"What happened?"

"We'll if you really want to know................. We were in the middle of a war on planet 567 when the other side go a hold of out elite team except for Percy and me. They threatened to kill each and everyone of them in front of us if Percy didn't turn himself over, which he will always put others I front if himself with his fatal flaw of loyalty, so he did but not without me joining. They made Percy surrender and after they took his weapons they attacked him. He couldn't do anything or they would kill one of us. He had to submit reluctantly. He was out cold with cuts and bruises everywhere when they where done. The team was trying to free themselves but is was no use, they had knives to their throats. I was being held down too. They let Percy fall to the ground and tied his hands behind his back, they let me go and I ran to him, he was stable but still injured, they told the team to leave and not come back or we would die, pointing to me and Percy. I gave them the it's okay look and they finally left to get chaos. They went for Percy again but I threatened them to touch him one more time so they didn't. They lead me at sword point to our cell as I carried Percy. When we got in our cell they took Percy and tied him up to the wall and left me untied, they took precautions knowing Percy was the leader. When they left I raced to help Percy, he was in bad shape, I wish they would have done it to me not him. We were there for about a week before we were rescued. Each day they would take both of us and try to get us to spill information, but we never broke. After each session we would help each other with our wounds. We grew closer that week I honestly think they hurt Percy more but he said that it was nothing and he truly didn't seem fazed like me. They tied him up everyday and left me unbound. I would try to break the bonds that held Him in place but it was no use, so we were completely dependent on Chaos and the elite team....."

I had know idea that he was thinking of that, like I thought maybe a actually bonding exercise but nope a real capture. They have been through so much together! Luke was staring off into space, he looked distant and distressed. "Sorry Luke I didn't mean to make you remember it, I was just curious and-" he cut me off.

"No, Annabeth, it's okay me and Percy remember it all the time. We have the same exact scare on our back, and refer to it when we are distant from each other. It connected us in a good way." Luke responded with joy.

I looked back over at Percy sleeping on the sofa, he was tossing and turning a lot so I went over and comforted him. He calmed to my touch witch made me smile.
