I clutch my seemingly 20 pound bag of school books close to my chest as I walk towards the front of the school. My heart is beating fast. But whatever, that's normal. At least I think it is. I take a look around. Many students are standing in groups ranging from large to small, talking happily, comparing phones, and cracking dirty jokes without worries of being alone. I wonder if they knew each other before starting high school. Maybe they met at orientation. This reminds me of the gorgeous dark haired girl in the bow I had meet during orientation -- Blake. I'll just spend my school year with her. Unless she has a boyfriend. Or hates me and thinks I'm totally uncool. I have my doubts about that last one, but there's a pretty good chance she's got a boyfriend. I mean just look at her. She's cute and very nice and I bet any guy would kill to be able to have her.

I'm ripped away from my thoughts when I see her, sitting with her head rested on her hand, under a tree. There's a considerably large book next to her on the grass. I jog towards her, excited, nervous, and happy all at the same time. I give her a quick hug. My heart nearly jumps out of my chest the second we make contact. "Y-yang... hi!" She says, also happy. I get a feeling she's been sitting by herself this whole time. We look up at each other and make eye contact. Blake fumbles with her bag, nervous, and gives me a timid smile. A very, very cute timid smile. I feel my face get hot.

"Where's your locker?" I ask.

"I can show you." She says.

Blake already has the inside of her locker set up; school books in a neat pile. Just like how she seems to be herself -- all figured out and composed. While here I am, not even aware of where my locker is. When I tell her this, she laughs a tiny bit and offers to help me find my locker. And when my locker is found, she also offers to help me set it up.

"You're so organized, Blake."

"Haha, I guess so. It's sort of a habit of mine to keep things clean."

The bell rings and Blake makes a tiny jump, startled. I take my planner from my new, clean locker and give her a small wave.

"I'll see you at lunch?"

"Ok!" She says, giving me something to look forward to.

Classes are exactly how I expected them to be -- extraordinarily dull. My first period teacher babbled on about being a responsible student and getting homework turned in. After that, I could only assume the other teachers said the same things. I'm just the slightest bit embarrassed to admit I wasn't paying attention because I was thinking of... Blake. And I'm not paying attention because of her now, too. Good thing it's almost lunch.

Blake...

Ak, I need to stop.

"Alright, that wraps up your first Remnant History class. Remember to get all the things I listed before next class, because we're going to jump right in!"

Finally.

I gather all my things and practically run out of the classroom and to the lunchroom, not even bothering to drop my books off in my locker. I find her quite fast, despite the alarming amount of people crammed in the cafeteria. How could one miss that lovely, wavy black hair?

"Hey Blake!"

"Hi."

"Wanna eat lunch outside?"

"Sure."

She lifts up her bag from the slightly grimy table and smiles at me. We walk through the crowd, out the door, and find a grassy hill to lay on. It's so nice outside -- there's a slight breeze and the spot we pick is under a tree so we are shaded from the sun. Blake and I collapse onto the ground, facing the light blue sky.

"So..." She says, her voice trailing off a bit. Her head must be somewhere else.

"How were your first classes?" I ask.

"Good, I guess. Focusing is not something I'm very good at." She laughs faintly, then turns towards me, looking me directly in the eyes. "How about you?"

Wow.

My heart flutters.

"Fine."

Oh, but I'm better than fine.

Ugh, the way this girl makes me feel.

I turn away, afraid her seeing my face might give her the ability to read my thoughts.

Blake sighs.

"I'm happy I know you." She says, gazing up at the sky.

A/N: Okay I know THIS IS NOT LONGER THAN THE OTHER CHAPTER. WELL IT IS BUT NOT BY THAT MUCH. I'm sorry, okay? Just bear with me. Also if they characters seem, well, out of character... tell me. I'll try to fix it.
