The young girl woke up to the bright summer sun shining through her white Venetian blinds and her parents calling her down to breakfast, she leapt out of bed and sprinted down the stairs, to be met with a Full English breakfast, toast and pastries.
Seated at the table with her family of four she began to eat, once she had finished the doorbell rung and something was pushed through the letterbox, 'Mails here!' Her parents said, 'first one to get there gets ten pounds!'. Immediately the children leapt out of their seats and set off to the front door, shoving each other backwards at every turn. 'And no fighting!' Her mother exclaimed. The boy-her brother stopped to catch his breath, but the girl continued to run until she reached the door "I won! I won! I won!" She screeched at the top of her voice before collapsing into an exhausted heap on the floor. Slowly she stood and sauntered back to the kitchen where the rest of her family were.
Sorting the mail into piles she handed everyone their letters, each person took their turn until it was hers, a postcard, a letter from her American pen pal and... a letter from Hogwarts... 'YAAAAAAAAAAS I AM IN!!!!!' She exclaimed. 'Well done sweetheart! We are so proud of you!'her parents chorused, their eyes brimming with pride.

Thursday Packing.. Friday... More packing... Saturday Chilling.... Sunday Last minute packing-she had forgotten loads of things... Travelling to London.... Arriving in London and sleeping in a hotel.

Arriving at the station the family received strange looks from all of the early morning work commuters as they headed straight towards the middle of the brick pillar between platforms 9 and 10 however they forgot as soon as the family passed through the wall and onto the platform.
'I'm gonna miss you sis' her little brother said with a tear in his eye. 'I'm gonna miss you too lil bro, don't get into too much trouble whilst I'm gone, okay?' She said whilst ruffling the teary eyed child's hair. 'I am going to miss you so much sweetheart' her mother said whilst tackling her into a big mama bear hug. 'What will we do without you in the house all year?' Her father sobbed, 'just remember it doesn't matter to us what house you are in just as long as you are happy with it, oh and the sorting hat takes your opinions to account, Good Luck sweety!' 'Promise you'll write?' Her little brother looked up at her with big watering puppy eyes. 'I promise' she replied 'I'm gonna miss you guys so much she squealed whilst pulling her family into a group hug 'Bye love you!' She said whilst walking towards the train. Walking along the corridor the girl opened up the door of one of the compartments only to be glared at by six mean looking fifth years. Quickly she shut the door and continued along the corridor, next compartment, a couple were having a romantic dinner? And.. okay bye?... she closed the door and continued along the corridor.
'Perhaps I should just stay in the corridor' she thought, she mentally scolded herself 'of course not you fool!' She opened another compartment to be met with four boys who were also in their first year. 'oh I'm so sorry' she said 'I will find another carriage' 'No it's fine you can stay' the boys said. 'Thanks' she said 'I've been at this for a while' 'The names Sirius' the boy with kind of long black hair said, 'I'm James' a boy with messy black hair and wire rimmed glasses said with a smirk, 'Remus, delighted to make your acquaintance' a boy with light brown hair, green-brown eyes and small scars on his neck and face said whilst sticking out his hand for a handshake, she shook his hand and turned to the last boy, 'and my name is P-P-p-p-Pettttttter Ppppettigrew'. 'Nice to meet you all' the girl said whilst sitting down next to the two boys called Peter and Remus. The four boys looked at her expectantly, 'and I am Mari Embers, charmed' she smirked.
