'Okay now we know each others names, what houses do we all want to be in?' Remus said
'GRYFFINDOR!!' James and Sirius chorused,
'Gryffindor probably, or perhaps Ravenclaw' Remus said 'but mostly Gryffindor' He added.
'Gryffindor for me' Peter said
Once again the boys looked at her expectantly,
'I would be happy with either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, but I would like to be in Gryffindor, my family is a proud Gryffinpuff family!' She said and James snorted, she shot him a deadly glare which caused him to shrink beck into his seat as she continued 'I do believe I am more of a Gryffindor though, I mean you don't see too many hufflepuffs pulling pranks and racing each other do you?'
'What do you mean by Gryffinpuff?' Remus asked curiously
'My mum is a hufflepuff and my dad is a gryffindor' she replied 'but I also have ravenclaw blood and very far back one slytherin, but I am a Gryffindor!' She said in a triumphant voice.
'Okay okay we don't need a whole life story!' Sirius exclaimed
'Oh yes you do!' Mari said whilst continuing with her 'story', the rest of the train journey consisted of them buying sweets, eating sweets, attempting to make spells, learning all about each other, pranking other passengers in the train and the boys also slept.

'Wake up! Wake up! You lazy sleepyheads!' Mari shouted.
'Just three more hours please....' Sirius said whilst patting James's head as it it were his alarm clock.
'That's James you idiot!' She smirked 'WE ARE AT HOGWARTS!!' She yelled whilst yanking the two dark haired boys of of their seats and onto the floor, they jerked awake 'Hey what was that for!?!?' James exclaimed
'we are here! And I have a plan for these two sleepyheads!' Mari said gesturing to Remus and Peter.
'What is it!?' The two boys exclaimed. Immediately she conjured a can of squirty cream and sprayed it in the two sleeping boys hands. She poked Peter in the middle of his forehead, and he immediately slapped himself on his forehead leaving him covered with cream. Next she prodded Remus on the very crown of his head, immediately he slapped her with said cream covered hand, as he opened his eyes.
'What?!?!?' She shrieked,
'I was awake the whole time and heard the three of you scheming, so I played along.'
Remus replied. 'Well we are here now anyway let's go' he said as he left the compartment to collect his trunk from outside leaving the three pranksters in shock.
'Did I miss something?' Peter said as he finally stirred from his sleep, the three turned to him with open mouths 'no nothing at all......' they replied as they ran out of the carriage to catch up to Remus.

Walking over to the boats the five were chattering away excitedly about what they hoped would occur in the sorting ceremony.
'Alrigh' first years don' be shy ther jus lil wei boats, y can ave up ter six students in each boat' immediately the five young first years sprinted towards a boat and clambered in. 'Oh an set off when ur ready, watch out for te giant quid!' the giant man said.

By the front doors all the first years were met by a woman who told them her name was Professor McGonnagle she appeared quite strict, she began to give the first years a lecture on the school, Mari zoned out as she already knew all about the school, she turned to her right to see James and Sirius had also zoned out she smirked and whispered a prank idea into Sirius's ear he nodded and told James.
Before she knew it the Golden doors to the Great hall were opened and the crowd of first years were filed into alphabetical order and processed into the room.
McGonnagle took the sorting hat and list of names...
Michael Avalon. SLYTHERIN!!!! The Slytherin tale applauded but Mari could see in the boys face he did not want to be there. Soon she zoned out once again until she heard her friends name
'Sirius black'
'Good luck Sirius' she said as she was not far behind him
'GRYFFINDOR!'
'YEEEEEEEES SIRIUS!!!!!' She screamed,

Mari Embers, the girl strode up and sat on the stool, the sorting hat was placed on her head...
'Aaaah I see an Embers child I remember sorting your parents dear'
'year year get on with it please'
'sassy I see, but loyal and kind, you are intelligent and cunning in your pranks, you are also very brave, Mari you have traits that all of the houses cherish, yet I see you more in ...'
'GRYFFINDOR!!!!' The hat yelled
'Thank you sorting hat! Thank you so much!' She thought as she took the hat off and handed it to the professor. She ran over to the cheering Gryffindor table and sat next to her ecstatic friend Sirius 'We made it!' She said with a grin on her face.

The five zoned out now, this was great! They were all together.

'Let the feast begin!' The headmaster professor Dumbledor yelled
Mari took to looking across the hall to see if she recognised anyone else...
The mean faith years from the train... she quickly turned their hair red and gold, she heard them shriek and the rest of the Slytherin table laughing. She smirked and continued to eat and chat with her friends.

The Gryffindor prefect led the new Gryffindors to their common room and told them the password 'pigmypuff' in they went. The five spotted the plush red sofas and immediately launched themselves at it. Up the stairs and to your left is the boys dorms and to your right is the girls, however this year is so large that one of the girls and one of the boys dorms have had to be put next to each other on the middle corridor. He began to tell all the children which dorms they were in until he was left with the five and a few other girls...
'You are the lucky first years to have your own separate corridor. Your bags are by your beds waiting along with your pets. Bye kids' he said as he turned and left to find his friends.
'Cool!' The remaining first years said as they ran up to their dorms.
Mari entered her room and bounded up to her bed the other girls entered soon after, all of the girls sat on their beds and began to introduce themselves.
'My name is Lily, Lily Evans' a girl with red hair and green-blue eyes said.
'I'm Mari Embers' said Mari
' and My name is Melanie Brown' a girl with blonde-brown hair and blue eyes said whilst collapsing onto her bed. The girls continued to get to know each other and began to get unpacked, until they heard a knock on the door Mari ran to get it and saw the four boys standing outside the door,
'Hey Mari' Sirius said 'we were wondering if you wanted to come see our room'
'Okay but let me introduce you to my roommates first...'
The girls introduced themselves and so did the boys but when it got to James he had his mouth hanging open and was staring at Lily
'And that's James' Sirius said as he elbowed james in the rib cage.
The five left to go to the boys dorm where they messed around and Mari helped them decorate their room.
'I was thinking that the five of us could be called the Marauders and if we want anyone to join after us they need to pull a prank' said Sirius
'Sirius that's brilliant!' Mari exclaimed
'I was also thinking we should make a banner and hand it above our two dorms!' He said
The five who now called themselves 'the marauders' got to work making their banner...
