Mari was jerked out her slumber by Lily shaking her vigorously and shouting: 'GET UP GET UP!! FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!' 'BUt it's warm in here...'Mari groaned 'NO SLEEP LATER BREAKFAST NOW!!' Lily replied as she pulled the covers off her friend. Mari squeaked due to the cold air and ran into the bathroom where she readied herself for the day ahead.

The girls began to walk to the great hall for breakfast.
As soon as they entered the great hall Mari was greeted by the other four marauders, 'Mari!!' Screamed Sirius 'Sirius!!' She screamed back mockingly to which the boy pouted. 'Oh Mari!' James said dramatically whilst putting one hand on his heart and the other on his forehead (palm up) 'I have missed you so much! The past few hours have been so hard to bear being separated from you, one of my closest friends!' 'Yes' Mari replied in an equally dramatic tone 'A few hours separated from you are almost impossible to handle!' She continued as she pretended to faint. Many of the students in the great hall were watching the two interact with each other *Professor McGonnagle shook her head and said to Albus 'I can tell the five of them are going to be trouble, can't you?' 'Why yes Minerva that's the delights of teaching' he replied with a smile and twinkle in his blue eyes* 'Hey mari, did you have a nice evening and night?' said Peter 'Hi Peter, I had a lovely night until SOMEONE!' She said looking at Lily accusingly who shrugged at Peter 'Pulled the covers off my bed to wake me up! How was your evening?' 'Good thanks' he replied hesitantly. Mari turned to Remus as he said 'Hello Mari, How are you?' 'Good thanks, are you ok Remus? You look a bit pale and tired...' Remus paled even further at her statement and stuttered 'Immm ffffine' 'Okay then' Mari replied The boy relaxed a little because he realised she wasn't going to pry for answers but he still looked uneasy.
Lily and Melanie came and sat with the five. 'Lilyflower!' James exclaimed Lily rolled her eyes looking at Mari for help Mari just smirked Turing to talk to Melanie and the boys.

'Yaaaaay! It's the first lesson of the year!!!' Lily screamed running into the classroom ahead of her friends when Mari got into the classroom Lily was sat with a boy from slytherin 'Hello!' She said beaming 'Sev meet Mari, Mari meet Severus' Lily said excitedly. She sat next to Lily and waited for Melanie and the boys to come in. (They sat with Mari) The rest of the class filtered in and waited for the teacher for what felt like eternity 'Hullo first years' a ghost said drearily 'Welcome to hogwarts I hope you enjoy this lesson of History of hogwarts' he said slowly, so slowly that most of the class had already fallen asleep, the rest of the lesson dragged on and on for yet another eternity. With the ghostly teacher droning on and on until the lessons end.
