Ella never seemed like she was dying. She never seemed sad, or emotional, or even ill. If she ever was, she did a fantastic job of hiding it. That's why I was so shocked when I found out she had passed on. My phone rang with her contact name, and I picked it up, expecting it to be her, only it was her mother. Mrs. Richards said she was phoning everyone in Ella's contacts to tell them of her passing, and once she explained to me what happened, I fell to the floor in shock. I don't know how long I stayed there for, but by the time I picked up my phone again, Mrs. Richards had hung up.
