Lia

I went to the restroom and fixed my makeup and put my hair in a messy ponytail. I put on my vans, grabbed my phone and started walking down the stairs. Since everyone was sleeping I had to be extremely quiet. I walked down the stairs and got to the front door. I opened it slowly and walked out. I locked it behind me.

I walked over to Kian's and waited outside. I got my phone out and texted him

I'm here

Moments later he came out of his house with his backpack on. "C'mon let's go." He unlocked his car and I got in the passenger seat.

"Kian please tell me you're a good driver," I said putting on my seatbelt. "I really don't want to die with you."

He laughed and started the car. "Don't worry. I'm a good driver." He backed out of the driveway and later he got on the freeway.

"So Kian," I said. He glanced and me and smiled. "it has come to my attention that you have no idea where the hell you are going."

He laughed. "How'd you know?"

"Well you've never been here before so and I'm assuming you don't have any directions on your phone."

"So where do you propose we go Miss Baxter?" Kian said smiling. That damn smile killed me every time.

"There's a place in LA on the hills where you can see the whole city. It's beautiful." I said. "I'll tell you where to go." Kian turned on the radio and Wrecking Ball was on. Every time he changed the station that's all that was on.

"This song is everywhere!" Kian yelled. I laughed and he looked over at me again and smiled.

"You might as well sing along." I said smiling at him. He started singing extremely loud and I was dying because I was laughing so hard.

About an hour later we arrived to the spot. I'll admit I was kind of scared because I thought a mountain lion would come out and attack us.

Kian parked the car and turned it off. "Let's go to the hood of the car." We got out and I pulled my self up to the roof and sat back and watched the city lights. It was absolutely breath taking. You could see every light flicker and it's beautiful.

"So do you take all your dates to this spot." Kian asked. I looked at him.

"Since when was this a date?" I said raising my eyebrows.

"That's not what I meant," Kian said. "It's just why do you like this spot?"

"It's beautiful, all the lights. You could see the whole city. Everyone down there is living their own life and doing their own thing. It's cool to just imagine what someone could be doing. They could be at a club, driving, hanging out with friends. I don't know. I just think it's cool." I looked over at Kian and he was looking at me with that cute little smile. "Stop doing that."

"Doing what?" he asked not taking his eyes off me.

"Looking at me like you want to kiss me," I blushed.

"But maybe I do want to kiss you," he said moving closer to me.

"Kian I just don't think-" I was saying but with every word I said he just got closer and closer. My breathing got heavier, my heart started pounding. He was centimeters away from my lips but I moved my head away. "Kian.. we just met. I... I don't know if this is the best idea. I'm sorry."

"You're right I'm sorry," he said with his head down. He looked embarrassed. "I never meant to make you uncomfortable I'm sorry."

"No Kian it's fine don't worry," I said. He was still looking down. I put my hand on his leg. "Let's just pretend it didn't happen okay?" He looked up and smiled.

We continued talking about everything. We would look up at the stars and wonder what other galaxies were like. We joked around and talked about our interests. The incident never came up again in the conversation.

It was 7 am and we barely got home. Kian parked the car in the driveway and hugged me bye. "Thanks Lia, I had a lot of fun."

"Me too, lets do it again sometime." I said smiling. He nodded and went inside his house. I walked to my house and opened the front door. I put my keys on the table and went up to my room. There was a note on the door from my parents.

"Had an emergency meeting at the office we'll be back in a few hours."

I opened the door and layer down. All I kept thinking about was Kian. I wanted to like him. I do like him. But I can't let myself catch feelings for him. I know what kind of guy he is, he's a fuckboy. An insensitive dick who doesn't care about anyone else's feelings. And I don't want to go through it all again. I don't want to.

But maybe Kian is different. A voice inside me said.

No they're all the same,  I convinced myself.
