Jake's POV

"Hey guys." Gary said to us as we walked in front of him and stood in a group. The girls looked even more nervous than ever, and I held back another joke to get them smiling, knowing I would only ruin it all. "I know you must be really nervous right now. I have to tell you, that I have one group through at the moment." He said and we nodded, though not knowing who it was. When someone goes, they don't come back; they send them to pack. Oh, that's a good rhyme, I'd have to remember that.

Only two had come to speak to Gary, one of them Shotgun and the other Taboo. The guys were really nervous too, so now I knew what they felt... "I have two spaces left, and trust me, it was a hard decision.

"We put you together at Bootcamp, and as you know, Simon Cowell was in the background of it, and will be on the panel at the live shows. You have improved drastically from that stage of the competition, which is very admirable. To be totally honest with you, you have probably impressed us the most yesterday." He smiled a little proudly, only slightly taking our nervousness. "The live shows are tough, and for a group who only gave their second performance yesterday, it's tough. There are different categories each week, and you have shown us that you're best at fun, energy filled numbers. How do I know you will survive with a different song each week, that you have to learn, if you don't even know each other properly?" He sighed, and I knew Zach gave up already, Logan kept holding onto that minimal hope as was Lisa and Riley just wanted to go, expecting the answer. I merely bit the inside of my cheek to not pull a joke to lighten the serious moment, before Gary spoke up again.

"However it's obvious you have massive potential to survive, so you're through to the live shows!" He announced, making us scoff and look at each other before running to him for a group hug, which he happily accepted. "Work on everything though, okay? Get used to each other, figure yourselves out and I want to see you fighting again in London." He said and we nodded with massive smiles before just hugging each other.

"Pessimist! You're such a pessimist!" Riley teased Zach as we thanked Gary a few more times and walked off to talk to Dermot.

"Shut up Morris, you nearly ran away." He replied and she rolled her eyes.

"Guys, stop fighting. We're through!" Lisa jumped up and down as we picked up into a run to Dermot, who let us hug him as we celebrated.

"Alright, alright." He chuckled along before we gave him and the others an interview and then went to the room with the other group who got through.

"You guys?" We asked with a wide smile as Taboo looked up and grinned, hugging each of us after the celebratory group hug.

"Oh my gosh, the house is going to be so awesome." Riley punched the air as we stood around, talking about how Gary delivered the news.

"He didn't give anything away. It was just like I'm turning away and going now. I wanted to give up. He started turning it round like it was definitely a no." Adam said as we stood in a rough circle while talking. They were obviously over the moon, but still trying to take it all in.

Then, Riley realised something. Late, as usual... "Guys..." She dragged out as we sighed, looked up into the air, then back at her.

"Yes?" The four of us asked as Taboo held back a chuckle, gathering what she was going to do.

"I'm hungry." She suddenly said and we looked at her with weird faces, all the nine of us. "Thought I was going to say we're through, right?" She smirked as Danny made the bad choice of nodding, sending her squealing the news of our advance in the competition like the excited child she was.
