Craving Ver

Chapter 9

****VERONICA'S P.O.V ****

It's been just a week since all that splenderd things happened to me. It still is like a dream that how I suddenly ran into the man. And made him one of the most significant part of my life if he wouldn't be there with me I probably would be nowhere. I am currently sitting in the kitchen. Everything seems a happy dream to me now. Mom is very haapy about the news so she is happing me my favourite mango cheese cake. Since dada left us she never made it for me. She is just too happy with the fact I gave him an apportunity because she thought that I would never allow a boy in my life after what happened with mom.

While I am busy thinking about all this happy moments of my life Caleb surrendly jumps from the back and says "Congrats Ver."

"Hey you frightened me. What a nice way of congratulating someone." I said rolling my eyes.

"But hey I am really happy for you. He is a nice man." Caleb said with a smile in his face. But why I don't know he does not seem happy to me. Even in his smile I see a internal sadness.

He took access to my hand and dragged me to his room and closed the door. I literally had no idea what was he upto. But there was a strange feeling in the air. I could see the internal sadness in him which he was trying to hide from me by all means.

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked breaking the nerve racking situation. He said nothing but quietly sat beside me.

Suddenly from nowhere he asked me "R you sure about your decision?" 

"Why not to be sure? Don't you think he loves me?" I replied with astonishment.

" Hey Ver, i concider you as my true friend.... I am just a little protective about you. I don't want anyone to break your heart. You are very important for me. Remember this always , think twice before you jump into conclusions. Your choice can either save you or distroy you."

"Dude I really can't understand what are you trying to say. Just open up."

"I can't I am bounded with some promises that I should keep but it can't resist me from helping you. I can't say you anything but I can worn you."

Suddenly his phone rang and we went away.

What was he trying to say to me? Why did he tell me the  take fair choices? How am I supposed to take it? I don't understand any of this. For the first time I saw Caleb soo serious. Maybe he things that Dylan is not the one for me. But Caleb is a good friend of Dylan. He know Dylan very well than why would he say something against him? All this unanswered questions started rotating in my mind. My thoughts just couldn't pass over what Caleb said to me. Caleb is a really good friend and I am sure of it that he would never want anything bad for me. His words certainly meant something that I am yet to discover.

Suddenly my phone started ringing and thee person calling me was none other than Dylan. I received his call with hesitation.

"Hello. I hope I didn't disturb you? I just wanted to now how are you doing?" He asked from the other side of the phone.

"I am good. How about you?" I simply said.

"Hey there ..... is everything ok you sound tensed."

"No I am absolutely fine don't worry about me."

"Ok . I gotta go, have a important meeting to attend."

"Ok. And all the best for your meeting. And take care."

"I love you." he said in a totally romantic voice which almost gave me goosebumps on my body.

I just  said "Love you too." and hang up the phone.
