Doctor Sean Green's POV
"Finished," I said, grabbing the kitchen roll from the side and cleaning my hands with it. I glanced around, noting that the others had all stopped as well and were now staring at the fox. I looked at Owen, not at all surprised that he knew what I was going to say before I did.
"Let's adjourn to the lounge, shall we? Leave her to rest for a bit." He stated. When North began to protest leaving her alone, he glared at him. "We will be in the next room, Mr Taylor. Nothing will happen to her in the time that we are gone." Pookie shivered slightly, shifting and then relaxing again.
"She must be freezing, let's give her some blankets first at least," North grumbled, blushing slightly when everyone looked at him in shock.
"Are you feeling okay, little brother? Have you got the flu?" Luke asked him, dodging out of the way of North's smack. I decided to intervene before they started fighting in earnest.
"That's a good idea, North," I said, ignoring Luke completely. "Two of you go and get some of the spare duvets and blankets from the airing cupboard and cover her up, then meet us in the other room." I tried to hide a snigger when I realised that I sounded like Owen when he was telling the boys what to do. I peeked over at him, looking away quickly when I saw he was already looking at me with his signature smirk on his face.
North quickly stood and ran up the stairs, Silas following close behind him. I gestured to the next room. Everyone quickly filed out, with Owen being the last to leave. He nudged me as I walked past, and I glared at him as we walked into the next room.
The boys were all sat wherever they could in the space. Kota and Victor were next to each other on one sofa, quietly discussing something. Luke was sat on an armchair to the left of Gabe, with Nathan sat opposite them on a beanbag. Owen and I sat down on adjoining seats, letting the boys have their own conversations while we waited for North and Silas to come back downstairs.
Owen turned to me. "What do I need to know before the others?" He asked quietly. I frowned, slipping into my doctor mindset.
"She has cuts on all of her paws and legs, one of which nicked her femoral artery. There's a long cut along her right side, along with one of the back of her head. She even has a bruised face! On top of that, she's severely malnourished and dehydrated." I paused, steeling myself for the reaction from Owen when I said the next part. He'd been steadily tensing as I gave him the rundown. "She's also got lots of old scars on her body, Owen; ribs that have been broken and not healed correctly, old knife wounds that have scarred on her stomach and back... she's been through hell and back." The only indication that he'd heard me was the slight twitch in his jaw. I waited for him to absorb what I'd just said, then told him quietly, "You'll have to keep a handle on everyone when I tell them, but North in particular. It seems like he's the most attached out of all of us." Owen snorted quietly.
"Only by a little bit." I looked at him sharply. He just looked back at me with a raised eyebrow. I sighed. He was right. We were all getting attached far too fast.
North and Silas walked into the room, talking to each other in Greek. Owen and I waited until they were seated to stand. As soon as we did, everyone stopped their conversations and looked at us. I smirked slightly; Owen had taught them well.
"I want you all to listen to Dr Green, and do not interrupt him. You can speak when he is done. And, I do not want any yelling, no matter what your personal opinion is on the matter. Otherwise, we will all have hours in the morning." He looked around the room, keeping his gaze on North for the longest. Silas shifted closer to him, and I nodded in approval. If anyone could keep him calm, it would be Silas.
