You were at the American Idol mansion where you and your boyfriend Sam Woolf, were staying while he was on the show, or until he wins the show, you hope. It is the results show tonight, but you aren't able to go because you had come down with a really bad cold in the last week. You felt terrible that you couldn't go to the live shows and support Sam, but he understood. When you were at the worst point of your cold, he would even bring food to you in bed and take care of you, even if that meant arriving late to rehearsal that day. Since then, you had gotten a bit better, but Sam insisted that you should stay in bed for at least a few more days.

Before he leaves for the results show, he says, "Wish me luck," with a sweet smile, and you said, "I know you'll be the first one to be safe." He gives you a quick kiss on the lips and hugs you, saying he'd be back soon.

As soon as it turns six o'clock you turn on the nice flat screen tv in the mansion and wait for the results. As you are watching, you get more and more nervous knowing that he is not the first one to be safe. You are getting more worried by the minute, and then he is in the bottom three. "Please be safe, be safe, be safe," you say anxiously as Ryan is about to announce who has to sing for their life. "The person who has to sing for their life is....Sam Woolf." How could this happen? You voted for him all night last night. You knew so many girls were in love with him, even though you didn't like it sometimes. You sit in shock as you watch your boyfriend sing for his life. He's not able to hit any of the right notes, and he looks like he will start to break down. "I should have been there to comfort him," you think angrily. Tears start escaping your eyes, you didn't want to think about how broken he was inside right now, how much he wanted to cry right now, how his dream was crushed. There is still some hope though, and you pray that the judges will use their save, but your conscience betrays you. "They probably won't save him. It's over," you think.

When he is done with the song it is time for the judges to announce if they have used the save or not. You watch in suspense, and then JLo announces that they will use the save. Tears of joy replace your sad ones, and you breathe a sigh of relief. Now he had another chance and you didn't need to worry about leaving LA anytime soon. Sam and the other contestants erupt into a mass of screaming people and confetti and you can see the relief and happiness on his face.

Later, when he comes back to the mansion, you run to him and give him a big hug.

"That scared me," you say, looking up at him.

"It scared me to, (Y/N), I knew you would've been upset or sad. I was thinking of you the whole time I was singing. I was too emotional and I didn't get any notes right-"

"It doesn't matter now," you say, and give him a kiss. "They used the one save on you because you're special. I know you can win this."

Later, while you were getting ready for bed, he tells you how sad he was because no one voted for him.

"Sam, believe me. There are tons of girls who want to vote for you. They probably thought you were safe anyway so they didn't vote. Don't worry."

He looked up at you and smiled shyly. "I guess....but still. I was the one who was supposed to go, now what if Alex has to leave and then he can't stay because of me?"

You walked across the room and enveloped him in a hug. "Sam. They saved you because they knew you have something special. Your voice is amazing and your friends would want you to win if they were voted off. Wouldn't you want one of them to win if you were voted off? They'd totally support you."

Still holding onto you Sam says, "Yeah you're right. I guess they'd want to see me win if they couldn't." He smiled a smile of relief and happiness, and he kissed you, this time deeper. "I love you."

"I'm glad they used the save on you, Sam, I love you too," you say, smiling back at him. You lay down on the bed and go under the covers, getting ready to sleep. Sam jumps in bed with you, and snuggles with you until you fall asleep.
