So basically a long time ago, King Beast, or whatever his real name was, and Queen Belle had a wedding, and instead of having a honeymoon like normal couples, they sent all the villains and their families to a faraway island known as the Isle of the Lost. People are still sent there, too. If you do something extremely horrible, like teasing someone royal, you get sent to the Isle. That's what happened to our families. They didn't get sent for that reason of course. So now we're trapped here with absolutely no way out.

Well, there is one way out, actually.

If you're chosen to leave the Isle and go to Auradon, you can leave, but they haven't taken in anyone for like, a million years. Okay, that's an over-exaggeration. 20 years, maybe 25. I don't know, I haven't been counting.

Anyways, I thought-- we thought we'd never leave, until one day...

Looking in the mirror, Ash grinned, excited to show off something he'd just learned. He practically leaped out of his room in the castle, dashing downstairs where his mother, Queen Mal, was relaxing on a sofa, doodling in her 10th sketchbook of the month.

"Mom, staring contest!" Ash exclaimed, effectively startling Mal. She put her sketchbook down and turned to face him. Her elbows rested on the back of the couch, and she let her head rest on one of her hands. One of her eyebrows quirked up

"Okay, but you know I'm gonna beat you." she smirked. "Unless you plan on cheating,"

"No cheating, but I do have a trick up my sleeve," Ash smiled mischievously, placing his hands on the back of the couch, too.

"Tricks, I like it," Mal winked, laughing a little. "We'll see how you do,"

The two begun the face-off, and not even 3 seconds in, Mal's eyes began to light up to a bright green color. Usually, Ash would only be able to last a moment when face to face with the glowing eyes, but this time, he had a retaliatory force.

Much to Mal's extreme surprise, Ash's eyes slowly lit up and turned into a bright gold, rather than their usual brown. The shock caused her to jump back and off the couch and, of course, blink a few times, which meant she lost the battle.

"Wait, what?!" the purple haired queen shrieked. "Oh my god! Ben get in here he has my eyes!"

Having already won, Ash dropped the golden eyes and cheered for himself as Mal yelled for Ben, his father, her husband, and the king, to come see. The king stumbled in, confused as to why he was called so abruptly. Mal ran over to him and excitedly shook his arm.

"He has my eyes! Ash, show him what you did!" the raven haired boy happily demonstrated his newfound power.

"Wow! When did you learn how to do that?" Ben asked.

"I dunno, really... I was just kinda trying to practice keeping my eyes open and it started happening." the boy shrugged.

"Well, this calls for celebration!" Ben strut over and pat his son's shoulder. Ash blushed, wishing he wouldn't make such a big deal out of it.

"Yeah," Mal agreed. "You won, what do you want?"

"Hmm..... Well I never really thought about what I'd do if I won before..." Ash trailed off, mentally rehearsing the entire presentation he had for when he finally won the staring contest. "...except this time."

"Wow," the queen playfully rolled her eyes at him. "What is it?"

"Well... I was thinking... That maybe..." he kept trailing off, nervously anticipating their reaction to his request. "Maybe we could bring in more kids from the Isle?"

Silence. Mal and Ben both stared at him in shocked silence.

"Th-that's quite a big request for winning a staring contest!" Mal stammered. "What brought that idea about?"

"I remember you said dad brought in a bunch of helpless children from the Isle before, why don't you do it now?"

"Well, Ash... We're just waiting for a sign to bring in more kids." Ben explained awkwardly, not knowing how to make him properly understand.

"A sign? I mean, I wouldn't call it a sign..." Ash mumbled, trailing off.

"Call what a sign?"

"Well, I had this weird dream. I think it was on the isle. There was a girl there who looked really sad and lonely and--" he stopped himself. "And yeah,"

"A dream...?" there was a strange twinkle in Ben's eyes, like he suddenly remembered something. "Well, alright. I suppose we could bring in some new villain kids."

"Yeah, I mean, I was a villain kid, and look at me now!" Mal remarked, gesturing around her.

"You say that as if you didn't cause lots of mischief when you got here," Ben teased her and she rolled her eyes. "As if you don't cause lots of mischief now,"

"Oh, shut up," Mal lightly smacked his arm. "I'm just trying to bring a little life around here,"

The two continued bantering until Ash awkwardly cleared his throat.

"Um, so does that mean new villain kids?"

"Of course," Ben smiled. "Did you choose anyone? When I proposed my plan I had everyone chosen."

"Oh, yeah!" Ash grinned. "How about the children of some of the team leaders?"

"What? Like Team Rocket? Aqua? Skull?" Mal questioned, slightly tilting her head to the side.

"Yeah... The children of Lusamine, Ghetsis, Giovanni, and Lysandre."

"So... The children of the lady who tried to unleash monsters onto our world, the guy who tried to separate Pokemon from their trainers, the guy who wanted to sell Pokemon for money, and the man who tried to destroy the world with an ultimate murder weapon..." the queen said slowly.

"....Yeah, that'd be them!"

"Okay then, they couldn't be worse than we were,"

"Great! I'll send a limo over there immediately," Ben chimed with a smile. Looks like Auradon Prep was getting some new students.
